Six Flags St. Louis New Coaster Construction Photos From 2-7-2000

I last went to St. Louis on February 7th to see my knee surgeon and of course I had to stop by the park to get a peak at "The Boss"!  Like I said I really don't like the name but this looks to be one kick ass ride!

Here's what was finnished on the 7th.  Mostly it is the structure that is up with a portion of it tracked with wood but not the steel rails.  Six Flags says it'll  be open on opening day so unfortunately it looks like I'll miss it as my baby is due that day also.

Here's a shot from the road.   The lift is the right portion of the tall structure and then once you're at the top there's a tight left hand turn before plumeting down the double drop!

This is the turnaround at the top of the lift.  As you can see they are concentrating on getting the structure up before working on the rails.  What I hear is that with the large ammount of wood coasters being built this year there was a bit of shortage in pressure treated southern yellow pine and that's why it's taken so long to get this up.

This is a little hard to see but the lower middle of this shot is the beginning of the dip on the first drop.   Basically you drop a hundred feet where the track levels off (and passes under the 2nd turnaround structure) before plumeting a nother 50 feet into a ravine.  This is going to be one heck of a first drop with a large ammount of airtime in my opinion!
