Six Flags St. Louis New Coaster Construction Photos From 2-7-2000
This is the first turnaround after the drop. They had about half of this put up when I visited. The easiest way to describe the layout of the Boss is an out and back twister where you go out and back several times before ending up on a nice twisted helix ending. You can see how high above the forest floor you will be turning around before diving back down. At the base of the structure is a pile of bents (vertical structure pieces) waiting to be assembled there. What I have also heard is that the trains for "The Boss" are going to be open front trains. That means that in the front seat there is nothing in front of you to obstruct your view except for some pipes to hold on to. The open front trains will make this a definite front seat ride...just imagine flying down the first drop with nothing in front of you...cool...I can't wait!
Just a note I probably will not have any Boss pictures until after the baby is here and my plans to fly over has been scraped as my father in law has had some breakdowns in his office (IMHO he's one of the best dentists in the world) that have set him back a bit thus canceling the flight to St. Louis. Have Fun! All pictures on this site have been taken by me or my wife Carrie. Please do not use without permission but ask and chances are I'll give it to you!
