When we are excited, our crown feathers (the little yellow feather-spikes on the top of our head) will rise! This is especially so when we are scared.
When we are happy, our crown feathers are usually "glued" to our heads. For instace, you whistle at us and it maks us happy, so our crown feathers look like they're glued to our heads or something.
Cockatiel experts call us "cockies". But be careful, we're cockatiels, not cockytiels! Hee, hee!
