History

Alryuhn was clutched by White Layla, Selryna Niharai's Dragonet, and sired by Gray Geryn, Dalaerion Melriana's rather brooding Dragonet. It would have seemed only fitting that their child would go to the child of there Bond Mates.

And so it did, but some say it was Fate that brought them together, for White Layla had clutched out in the wild, rather in the comfort of home, preferring to have things done her way.

Many did not know that Layla had even clutched until Alaena came back from her wanderings one day, bearing a silver Dragonet. This was unheard of! Never in all of Earth's history had a silver Dragonet been clutched. Silver Dragons, and even some silver Gryphons, but never before had one of their smaller kin, the Dragonets or Gryphs, clutched a silver child.

Of course, not even the Bonding of a silver Dragonet could make up for the loss of Alaena's brother, though Alryuhn tried his best to be a big brother in Alaron's stead, though in his heart the Dragonet knew that he could never fill that Void in her heart, nor heal the wounds of her soul. Those only Time and Love could mend. And Forgiveness. Not by another, but Alaena forgiving herself.

And so, it goes on, Alryuhn trying to give Alaena wise council, whilst she tears herself apart from the inside out, refusing to forgive herself for what she did, or even thought she did. A vicious circle. Will it ever find an end? Only Time will tell...

Eternal Winter Egg

Snow drifts caress the lower half of this oblong egg, as intense flurries dance across the upper half. together the two meld and part, each in there own world, yet each bound by Time. Dark, gray clouds cover the top of this egg’s form, blotting out the sun to bring an Eternal Winter. The bare, black shapes of hibernating trees can be seen in the background, just barely through the snow’s intense drive, silent, Timeless, yet waiting for that moment when Eternal Winter turns to Glorious Spring...

Hatching Message

Furious swirls eat away at the steadfast trees, trying to draw them unto death, but to no avail, they stand firm. With a last, furious howl the wind and snow cover all, as if seeking revenge, but once the snow clears it reveals that Eternal Winter Egg has shattered, and left in its place a memorial--Winter Solstice Silver Hatchling.

Winter Solstice Silver Hatchling

Winter’s first frost glazes this Dragonet’s silver scales with a crystalline sheen, snow flurries swirling inside his eyes constantly, no matter what shade they take. His head is angular, narrow and tipped with a sharply hooked beak, which gleams in the light dangerously. His neck is long and almost serpentine, but he bears himself with such a regal air that that dangerous side can almost go unnoticed--almost. His neckridges are like ice covered mountains, a mercury sheen present in all his gleaming hide, scales or otherwise. His talons are long, and sharp, even for a hatchling, and trail down from strong, if faintly wobbly legs. Flowing from his shoulders, forming an impressive set of wings, the sails white as snow and glinting of silvery frost. His body is lean, but rather compact. His tail makes up for most of his length, accounting for at least a third of it, if not more, and tapering off into a bladed spade, that glints a hefty warning.

Bonding Message

With thirteen steps, and a gaze filled with frosty fire Winter Solstice Silver Hatchling walks over to Alaena, a determined look fixed upon his frost touched face as he looks up into the young Elven girl's eyes, his eyes suddenly turning soft and warm as Ice Bonds to Ice and the Choice is made.

Personality

This silver is a very noble Dragonet. He would die to save his master's--or mistress's--life. He is wise beyond his years, but that spark of life, of fun, still exists in his core, and he is not above a good snowball fight, or whatever fun presents itself if the situation is right.

Miscellaneous

Their are two oddities to this Dragonet. One being his long tail, which accounts for at least a third of his length, and two his silver coat, thought impossible for a Dragonet. Silver is only a color seen in Dragons and Gryphons, or so it was once thought, but perhaps things are not always as they seem to be. Or Fate likes to throw loops ones way. Either way, he is the only Dragonet with a silver hide.
