Mid-Atlantic Re-enactors Association P.O. Box 2081 East Liverpool, OH 43920 September 1, 1998 RE: Presidents Letter; Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable time at our most resent event in Lisbon Ohio. I personally would like to thank all the members of the MRA for their help in make this first time event a success. I have come to the realization that whenever I'm in charge of the battalion, or the field, I need a workable Staff present to help me in my duties to alleviate some of the stress of command. So, I'm interested in creating positions for the battalion, or the field, commands by events instead of the entire year. Hopefully the same people which are appointed to the positions mentioned will try to be present at all the event which have I some type of command. With regards to this subject if the person can make all the command events then he might hold that position for the entire year. I hope. So, if anybody is interested in the following positions at the named events please contact me and let your intimation be know. The following is a list by event for positions available: Bonosboro, Md. Somerset, Ohio Woodsboro, Md. Quartermaster Sgt. Quartermaster Sgt. Quartermaster Sgt. Ordinance Sgt. Ordinance Sgt. Ordinance Sgt. Sergeant Major Sergeant Major Sergeant Major Executive Officer Adjutant Executive Officer I feel that everybody should have the same opportunities as myself to aspire in rank. I will judge all intimation on experience and leadership skills. Our next battalion event will be Bonosboro, Maryland on September 12th week end. Make sure your company, troop, or battery is registered for this event. We need to increase our numbers for this event by making sure all our members join us for this event. If anybody knows of other infantry units that are interested in forming a battalion structure with us, please invited them to join us at the Battle of South Mountain this week end.
