Ani Difranco
Ani is a very cool solo female artist. She plays the guitar and sings, sometimes with an accompanying band, sometimes without. Her vocals range from softly angelic to angry and harsh. She sings with a lot of feeling and honesty (her lyrics are awesome). She has her own record label, Righteous Babe, and yeah… she's awesome. Listen to her is all I can say.
