Definition: The MANILA CLUSTER FOR CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION, INC. is an organized network
of GO’s, NGO’s and PO’s working for the survival, protection, development
and participation of children in especially difficult circumstances.
VISION:
A community where all children fully enjoy their rights and fulfill their responsibilities.
Our vision, therefore, is to see that:
1.
Every child is afforded that fullness of life so that he may be a cornerstone
in building a better world, that is:
- Every child is afforded access to basic social services and such other services
and resources to meet his/her essential needs; Opportunities are provided to
strengthen the childs relationship with/her family or alternative family;
- Every child is consulted and involved in matters that affect his life and his future;
- Every child eventually becomes a participating and productive member of society.
- Every agency develops the committee to provide innovative strategies and quality
services to these children.
2. Every community has a network of functional and committed inter-agency
structures/systems
3. Every barangay establish structures for ensuring the rights of children
4. Local and national governments are more sensitive and responsive to the right and
needs of children
MISSION:
The Manila Cluster as a cohesive and organized network of NGO’S, PO’S and GO’S
working for the welfare of children is committed to unity existing efforts
of member-agencies for a more holistic approach in upholding and promoting
the rights of children.
G O A L S / T H R U S T S:
1. That the MANILA CLUSTER FOR CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION, INC be organized as the organized
network working for the survival, protection, development and participation
of the children in the City of Manila.
2. That the MANILA CLUSTER FOR CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION, INC be the advocate / lobby group for
the protection of children from abuse and exploitation, improper influences,
hazards and conditions prejudicial to their physical, mental, emotional,
social and moral development.
3. That the MC-CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION Inc. support and help expedite the children in need of special protection
cases through
linkages and networking with the 5 pillars of justice.
4. That the MC-CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION inc. continue to proved capability building opportunities
to its members resulting to better service delivery and to a pool of experts
in the various areas of specialization in serving the children in need of special protection and their families.
5. That the MC-CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION continue to access updated data on the children in need of special protection of Manila.
6. That the MC-CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION Inc. mobilize all member agencies to ensure the empowerment
of children and their families in order for them to actively participate in
bringing about a sustainable development.
INFORMATION RESOURCE:
The cluster is the source of pertinent data nd relevant information on the network
and on children’s issues and concerns.
Strategies
1. Document cluster best practices-both cluster-wide activities undertaken
and contributions/participation of all member and partner agencies
2. Develop resource materials for promotion and fund raising
3. Create Manila Cluster e-group for a more efficient communication and
information sharing
4. Update existing information concerning children (in general) and CNSP
(in particular) as well as concerning Manila Cluster member and partner agencies
5. Come-up with a regular newsletter highlighting the CRC, success stories
