ATLANTIS, 9/95

What's the attraction? Why do I even bother or care?
I just watched a show about Atlantis, I sat and stared.
If it happened; it was such a long time ago;
still it had me mesmerized and thinking so.
Was there a continent, and where did it exist?
With our know-how, why can't we shorten the list?

An island, destroyed in one day and night;
seems far fetched, if it was true it's a fright.
For if it happened once, it surely can occur again;
nature's forces are as unstable now, as they were then.
I believe that the island, Atlantis, indeed was for real;
after some personal research, I will get a better feel.
