Note:This name also turns up in Zeeland-Flanders, Netherlands in the early 1700s and on the Island of St Eustatius, West Indies, late 1600s plus. Cuveljé is the Dutch spelling of the name Cuvelier. In all three cases the names belong to French Protestants of the 1600s. Several of my Cuveljé distant cousins left Zeeland-Flanders for a better life in the USA during the 1800s.
