Plate
fragment. Similar plate rims (this one not complete) found at the
Phillipsburgh site, Cascade. sccCEP12.html

Bowl
fragment. The blue band and golden stars originated in wares
specially ordered for the USA and typical of the 1790s, according to
some. Later applied to other wares, it would seem, as I have
excavated similar on several early Australian sites as well. Also
recovered from the Phillipsburgh site. sccCEP13.gif
Painted overglaze, nearly always on white surfaced
porcelain (blue painted wares usually have a bluish or greenish-blue
surface). The painted figures are often water soluable, so care must
be taken when cleaning such excavated wares. Where paint has been
lost, there is often a shadow or scar of the former design left on
the surface. sccCEP14.html
