Of course, I don't mean it completely !! :-) Only the first line is very appropriate ! Homes on Web are indeed "be-dar-o-deewaar", ie. without walls and doors. But we are fortunate to have such good neighbours, full of information. So, I really don't mean the second line. :-)

Here are some of the sites I found on the Web, which are related to Urdu Poetry. Please let me know if there are more. Most of the sites have many great poems by great poets. That's one of the reason, why I have not included these poems on my site.

Shakil's Pad
If you have even a slightest interest in Urdu Poetry, the poet you must read is Meer. This site, among other things, has some wonderful GHazals by Meer Taqi Meer. Meanings of difficult words provided. And above all, the GHazals are provided in Hindi script too ! You can't ask for more.

Shoeb and Faiyaz's Urdu Poetry Page
Has poems by some of the best poets of Urdu. Meanings of difficult words is provided. In many cases interpretation, translation etc is also provided, which makes visiting this site a must.

Uma's GHazal Page
Has excerpts from the book by K.C.Kanda, which makes a visit to this site as a must for every GHazal fan. Another great thing about this site is the huge archive of the posts made in India Discussion Digest. It's worth a visit for some nice GHazals and their meanings. Immortal Hindi Authors and Poets
This page is part of a great Hindi Home Page by Malviya. A must visit for the lovers of Hindi and Urdu languages. Has poetry by many saint poets too. These puzzles by Amir Khusrou are also worth checking !
