Thank you!!!! I'm an art major at ISU and doing a master copy in painting class. I've chosen to do, and have seen "Sunlight" in Indianapolis and chose it. I had to do 6 thumbnails of Benson's other work, and your website is the only place (including IS
's library) that I could find some. You have helped me tremendously, and I thank you. My painting prof had never heard of Benson and I think that's sad. Anyhow, I'm SO glad you have this webpage ... THANK YOU!!!

You did an excellent job on the Benson page and I enjoyed it very much. thank you for your mention of my book on Benson. But when you speak of "I" who are you? I was especially interested in the painting of the phlox in the pewter vase and wish I had a
color printer to download it. I knew that it existed (FWB's daughter, Sylvia, kept a book of all his watercolors with titles and numbers only) but have never seen it. Where did it come from? How did you find it? Are transparencies available? I am gues
curating a show called Frank W. Benson:Master of Light at the Peabody Essex Mus. i Salem in Sept. of 2000 and am looking for hitherto unknown/unseen works that feature "light". The phlox one certainly fits the bill. I certainly would appreciate your h

hi!
i'm an artist myself. My favorite movement is Art Nouveau, I'm passionately in love with it! I, like you, enjoy the human figure. For the past 6 months I've been learning how to do portiature (i can't spell!!) with oils, it's fun!
I too am passionate about my work, so when my school held a student show and unjust things happened I stood up. Art is for everyone, and if one piece isn't liked by one person, someone else will like it! I'm enjoying your site so far! I'd love to see your
work if possible, I don't know yet if you have any on this site, I haven't been everywhere yet!
