Darryl's 1971 Superbeetle, AKA Mercury, has had her share of ups and downs during her lifetime. After being purchased from the dealer, it was not all happy trails from there. Little did she know that later on in life she would end up abandonded in a field, totally neglected. It was not until 1993 when she would be dicovered and given a new life! |

With a new engine, good amount of body work and a slick new paint job, Mercury is looking better than ever! She is now fully restored and customized inside and out. Custom exterior body modifications include 1965 rear tail lights, 1967 decklid & shaved front turn signals. The wheels are 1973 Sportbug wheels |
which are a limited edition in North America in this 15" x 5 1/2" size. On the inside she was restored to an "stock" look with small touches of custom items such as a 13" Formuling steering wheel & Autometer tachometer. Besides the small custom modifications, to the untrained eye, she looks clean and stock. |
