A Harley at 14,000 Ft. Above Sea Level

(Only in Colorado)

My wife Sarah and I hadn't been to the top of Mt. Evans in a couple of years, so on June 2 we decided to ride up (it's only about 50 miles from our house in Denver). The roads were in great shape and the weather was almost perfect. The temperature was about 35 degrees at the summit, but felt more like 50 (between wind gusts, that is) thanks to some direct sun.

Near the top we met a real nice guy riding a sports bike. He must have had on a lot less clothing than we did because he swore he was 'freezing to death.'

BTW; yes, Sarah and I have climbed our share of 14'ers (including this one a couple of weeks later), but some days you just want to take the easy way up! At any rate; here are some photos I thought you might enjoy. --- RC
