So,my dear little simian students wants to learn the items in the DKC games? Well, here they are! Read this chapter and study for the test! They are easy to identify and to memorize little boys and girls! (Oh! A banana for me Diddy? You shouldn't have!)
BANANAS
What's a DKC game without bananas? Without them, they'll drive you bananas right? Collect these goodies up to a hundred to earn a free life.
ANIMAL CRATES
Break these crates open and out comes your friendly animal pal! Surprise! Surprise!
ROPES
Monkeys were born to climb! Ropes allows you travel safely and to reach higher places.
TIRES
Roll these tires all the way and use them to launch yourself into bonus areas or to reach higher places. Some tires are stuck to the ground so you can't roll them
ARROW SIGN
These signs indicate that you're near the exit.
EXIT SIGN
After a hard work of exploring that stage, the exit sign indicates you that you have reached the end of the line and into the next level
1-UP BALLOONS
Collect a Red Balloon to earn a free 1-up. Green Balloons gives you to 1-ups and the Blue Balloon (the most valuable and rare) gives you three lives. Get them as quick as you can or they'll float away!
KONG LETTERS
Find and spell the gold letters K, O, N, and G and you will recieve a free life!
ANIMAL TOKENS
Collect three any of the four Animal Tokens and you will enter in a special bonus stage! Take note that the three tokens must be the same!
MINI ANIMAL TOKENS
These tiny yet valuable tokens are found in the special Animal Token Bonus Stage. Grab as many tiny animal tokens as you want. Collect hundred of these and you will get a free life!
PATCH
There are some patches on the ground that once you bounce on them from a high place, you will get an item.
BANANAS
More Bananas! Follow the trail of bananas to navigate your pal all the way through the stage. A lone banana indicates that there is a secret passage or an invisible item. Watch out for these things! You still get a free life once you gather 100 bananas.
ANIMAL CRATES
Break these open to release your animal friend! Freedom at last!
NO ANIMAL SIGN
This sign tells you that your animal buddy can no longer continue beyond that point. They will simply disappear but you will be rewarded goodies depending on how difficult it was to reach the sign.
CRATES
Boxes and crates are scattered throughout the island. They make good weapons to beat up enemies with
HOOKS
Hooks allows you to travel through a gap or reach higher areas.
HOT AIR BALLOONS
Ride on these balloons to travel across the hot bubbling lavas of Crocodile Cauldron. The balloons will lower soon if you don't fill it with hot air. Where's Cranky anyway?
1-UP BALLOONS
There are three different colored balloons. Get Red for a 1 life, Green for 2 lives, and Blue for 3 lives. They will float away so grab them quick!
TREASURE CHESTS
Chests contains items but in order to open them you must break them open by smashing them on enemies.
KANNON AND KANNONBALLS
Kannonballs can be used by throwing at baddies and defeating them. They are also the key on activating a Kannon. Fling a Kannonball inside a Kannon and it will activate and launch you inside a bonus level.
KONG LETTERS
Collect the gold letters to spell KONG and earn a free life
END OF LEVEL TARGET
This object is always located near the exit. Jump on the target to finish the level. If you jump from a high place, you will win the prize that is displayed.
BANANA KOINS
These are coins that has a banana symbol on it. Use these coins to pay your friendly Kong Family Members. Once you pay them, you can receive valuable information or recieve items and other bunch of stuff. Good o'l Cranky needs money too to pay for his frames! He charges his words of wisdom although all the insults and put downs are still free of charge!
KREMKOINS
These coins can only be found in the Bonus Stages. Once you complete a Bonus Stage successfully, you will recieve a Kremkoins. You must pay Klubba 15 Kremkoins to explore a Lost World. There are 75 Kremkoins in total.
CRANKY KONG'S VIDEO GAME HERO COINS
These coins have DK letters symbols on it. They are really well hidden and sometimes easy to spot but hard to reach. There are 42 Video Game hero Coins hidden throughout the island. Once you found all the coins, Cranky will now indicate you that you are a real video game hero. You haven't really finished a level until you've collected a DK Koin.
BANANAS
This precious food of the Kong Klan gives them vitamins and minerals and it also comes in its own wrapper. Grab 100 bananas and earn a free life
ANIMAL CRATES
Break the crates with an animal symbol on it and you will free the animal friend inside.
NO ANIMAL SIGN
Get past this sign with an animal friend and you will recieve some goodies. Don't worry.
BEAR COINS
Bear Coins are silver colored and they have bear faces on them. Use these coins to buy items in some of the Brothers Bear Shops. You can also use these coins to play Swanky's Games.
1-UP BALLOONS
Grab a balloon to get an extra llife
KONG LETTERS
Grab the letters KONG to earn a life
DK KOIN
These Koins are protected by the baddie named Koin. Defeat him to earn the DK Koin.
BONUS COINS
You will earn bonus coins if you have finished a Bonus Stage. Collect them all!
