Well... Let's describe this flea-bitten ape, useless- no- hoper Donkey Kong (as Cranky would say). This bulk of a primate is the main star in the game. Clumsy and always getting into trouble. But he's no clumsy simian when it comes to trashing that arch-enemy of his, Krool. Er.. well he was caught two times already so uh.. let's just say that Krool was lucky. Donkey loves the placidness of his island. It's also his life gulping down banana milkshakes and snoring peacefully in a hammock. What a life!
Diddy Kong
Donkey Kong's little sidekick or you can call him "Dk's Second Banana". Diddy is a small yet quick little chimp who wants to be a video game hero just like his model Donkey Kong. Diddy proved himself that he was a born video game hero when Donkey Kong was kidnapped by that wretched crocodile, Krool. Unfortunately, he was also kidnapped by Krool in his third attempt to rule the world.
Dixie Kong
Even that grouchy Cranky Kong couldn't believe his eyes when he saw this hair twirling girl chimp. Dixie, a monkey whose hair can twirl and helicopter herself in the air is not a maiden in distress! Her abilities are quite unique. She and Diddy screwed up Krool's plans for world domination and saved Donkey Kong. She did it again when that fat crocodile kidnapped her friends. Watch out for her Krool because she's no fool!
Kiddy Kong
It's really surprising that this 3-year old reached such a giant size. Don't leave Kiddy alone whining in the jungles because if Donkey, Diddy, and Dixie can bash up some crocodiles, well... he can too! This bulk of a baby has thick layers of fat that can actually break wobbly floors and crush kremlings as well. He's no baby when eliminating the army of Kaos.
Cranky Kong
He was once was a long-time video game hero who always persuade the next generation of the Kongs that old games are far more better than that ridiculous world of ACM graphics. He can still remember the good old days while swinging back and forth on his rocking chair. He offers strategies for younger players in exchange for coins but his insults are still free. Thanks to his looooong-suffering wife Wrinkly Kong, she got use to Cranky's cantankerous nature.
Wrinkly Kong
Good old Mrs. Wrinkly Kong works in a Kollege to teach kids gameplay but due to the annoying ear-piercing sounds of kids squealing and shrieking, she departed the Kollege and now spends time in her home cave. Her hobbies are knitting, taking care of the banana birds, excercising, sleeping, and when there's nothing to do, she plays video games. There is only one thing that will puzzle the young Kongs. How did she survive her long marraige to Cranky Kong? She learned to be patient!
Candy Kong
Candy is DK's little sweet banana pie who will soon to become DK's future wife. She loves to bake foods that has anything have to do with bananas. She was helping Donkey Kong saving his game at his first shot but soon Wrinkly took over and now she works in a barrel factory with that so called " Pretending-to-be-handsome-hunk- yet- I-Don't-want-to-be-his-girlfriend" boss Bluster Kong. She is now caught in a very ridiculous " Not-really-a- love-triangle" between Donkey and Bluster.
Swanky Kong
Swanky Kong hosts a Bonus Game Bonanza on is first attempt to become popular in showbiz. He was the king of the TV game shows at that time. He soon stopped the busy world of showbiz and now operates a sideshow tent with Cranky Kong. He never lets anyone walk empty- handed. And even the winners of his sideshow gets far more prizes than the usual amount.
Funky Kong
He proves that he's no ordinary monkey besides the other monkey video game heroes. He's cool and stays cool-looking. He speaks with a southern accent which perfectly fits his attitude. He is obssessed in surfing. Instead of exploring the unknowns of the jungle, he explores the best beaches to surf on in Donkey Kong Island. He operates his Funky Flights tour of the jungle and now he works on repairing boats and other vehicles.
DKC Show New Characters
Bluster Kong
Donkey Kong's rival in dating the sweetest banana of the jungle Candy. Bluster's nature is a "What-Bluster-wants-Bluster-gets" type. He bosses Candy around in his very own Barrel Factory but when it's not work time, he tries to beg Candy to become his future wife. The only thing that gets in his way is Donkey Kong. This could get ugly. He doesn't appear in any games but he does appear in the Donkey Kong Country the TV Series.
Baby Kong
No. Baby Kong is not related to Kiddy Kong in DKC3. Baby Kong is DK's nephew (even though Cranky said he didn't have a nephew.) who always gets into trouble. He ended up in Krool's Lair and Krool ended up babysitting the bulky baby.
King Krool
King Krool is the arch-enemy of all Kongs in Kongo Bongo. He wants to possess the amazing powers of the Crystal Coconut. He plotted all the plans he could think of but always failed. Some of his plans are bizzare and crazy while others makes sense. He loses his temper easily (thanks to Klump's stupidity). And there was one time his plan was been duked by a baby. We can tell that he is one heck of a super sore loser.
General Klump
Krool's second in command in his hideout. He is usually clumsy and dumb. Commands the Kritters to attack but he himself does not attack. He spies a lot and reports his reports to Krool.
Krusha
Krool's super strong muscle man. Krusha is obviously brainless and that means he doesn't know anything. He is strong though but is he the perfect match for Donkey Kong?
Kritters
Kritters are the "soldiers" of King Krool. They march around with Klump and obeys his orders. They are armed with Klapblasters. Klapblasters are guns that fires Klaptraps. In Krool's base, you can see a whole army of them.
Klaptraps
Klaptraps are the "bullets" from the Kritter's Klapblasters. These guys eats everything in sight. They munched on Cranky's Cabin, they gobbled up barrels, and ate minecarts. Klaptraps are usually tiny but one Klaptrap whose name is "Junior", is so far the biggest one in size department. In his first appearance, he helped the Kongs escape from Scurvy's galleon and later he ate it. He caused even more trouble when he was about to eat the Time Capsule of the Kongs.
Eddie, the Mean, Old, Yeti
Eddie appears in DKC TV Series. He is a white yeti who lives in the snowy mountains of Kongo Bongo. He is selfish and loves to keep things even though it's not his. Appears in DKC show.
Inka Dinka Doo
Inka Dinka Doo is a stone face god of the temples. Inka is a mysterious and sometimes mean and scary. Kongs must please this god or else... Appears in DKC show.
Kong Fu
Kong Fu is the master of monkey martial arts. He was hired by Krool to beat up Donkey Kong in a contest. He is strong, skillful, intelligent, and... afraid of the dark??? Appears in DKC show.
Robo Candy Kong / Robo Kong/ Candy Bot
Call this Candy Kong robot whatever you want. She is usually Krool's bait in luring Donkey Kong in a trap. She may look exactly like Candy but her voice is robotic. Appears in DKC show.
Captain Scurvy
The meanest pirate who sailed the seven seas. His old grandpappy stashed the crystal coconut long ago in Kongo Bongo and now threatens the Klan to give it back or he and his Krempirates will make the Kong Klan walk the plank. He is also the rival of Krool in getting the crystal coconut and they don't get along. He appears in the DKC show.
Polly Roger
Krool's pet parrot. He was once the pet of a pirate named Captain Scurvy that's why he has a bit of pirate attitude. He usually cheers up Krool when he isn't in a good mood.
Kutlass
One of Scurvy's henchmen. He is green and mean and helps his boss bury treasures in the shores of Kongo Bongo. He carries a giant cutlass and chases DK whenever the monkey attacks their ship. (NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE KUTLASS IN DKC2 !)
Green Krock
Probably the "Klump" of Scurvy's crew. He is average sized, dark green, crocodile. One time he asked Scurvy why they bury treasure and dig it up again and bury treasure and dig it up again. His question was answered by Scurvy's mockeries.
Animal Friends
Rambi, the Rhino
This belligerent pachyderm loves to charge and he has the speed and strength to show just like a runaway freight train.
Enguarde, the Swordfish
This swordfish will help you navigate the dangerous waters of the island and he will attack any underwater pest who dares to stop you from your mission.
Expresso, the Ostrich
Expresso cannot fly for a certain amount of time but he sure can run fast. He can even walk on tiny creatures since he has skinny legs.
Winky, the Frog
Winky can really leap up high in the air! This amphibian will jump over enemies and tough obstacles that you will encounter in the game.
Squawks, the Parrot
Squawks will navigate you through the dark caverns of DKC using his flashlight. But his role becomes more important in the next games. He can lift your characters and spit out unlimited stock of eggs down on the baddies.
Squitter, the Spider
Hope you don't act like Little Miss Muffet when you encounter this hairy arachnid. In fact, Squitter is one of the coolest animal pals around! He can shoot spidr webs at your foes and he can actually create web platforms so you can cross really wide gaps on some stage or reach higher areas.
Rattly, the Rattlesnake
Thanks to his springy tail, Ratlly can launch himself up in the air and reach hard to reach areas. He can bash up enemies too. You can also bounce of edges and jump in midair.
Clapper, the Seal
Clapper will give you his "seal of approval" by turning hot bubbling lava into a cool place too swim in. He can also freeze the deadly waters so that the fishies in the water cannot bite you. just hop on his back and let him do his business.
Glimmer, the Angler Fish
Glimmer is a strange fish who has a lamp that is attatched on his head. He looks like as if he was involved in a horrible science experiment. He can direct you through the dark and murky waters of Crocodile Island.
Ellie, the Elephant
Ellie can do a lot of things once you ride on her. She can suck up water and spray the baddies and she can also vaccum barrels and actually carry it and roll it to the Kremlings. You'll meet this young herbivore in most of the stages. Oh yeah! She's afraid of rats and mice so better carry a barrel.
Parry, the Parallel Bird
Parry can help you reach the items from above that you alone cannot reach even a Team Throw won't help. Onec you release him, he will follow you from above collecting goodies. he is the most hardest to direct in to the No Animal Sign. Don't let him touch baddies or you won't get the valuable reward.
Banana Birds
Banana Birds are mystical and mysterious birds that are hidden and frozen in crystal caverns. There are 15 Birds. Once you free a Banana Bird, they will fly over to Wrinkly's Cave and stay there until you find all 15.
Mama Bird
Mama Bird is obviously the mother of all Banana Birds. Krool locked her up in a secret area. To free her, you must have all 15 Banana Birds.
Brothers Bear
Brothers Bear are a family of Bears. They live in cabins all around the world in DKC3. Get inside their cabins and listen to their story. These bears helps you on your quest but you must help them first by searching for some lost objects.

BAZAAR
He the only bear that owns the shop. He sells items at a price. Some are too expensive but the more expensive, the more valuable the item is!
BARNACLE
This bear is crazy over seashells. He has a pretty collection of strange, neat, and rare shells.
BRASH
Brash is the bear you wouldn't want to meet. He is athletic of all bears. He holds the Riverside Race record and no one could beat his time. Other than that, he is mean, nasty, and you can say that he is Cranky Kong's substitute but ten times meaner.
BLUNDER
He is the genius of all bears. He tries to hide his gameplay secrets but cannot stop giving them accidentally to players.
BLUE
Blue is the saddest and the loneliest of all bears. He usually gets the bad luck. Why don't you search something that will cheer him up?
BRIGAIDER BAZOOKA
This bear fought the Kremean War and now a retired veteran. He loves cannons that's why he owns his precious cannon, Old Bessie. He likes to hear her fire again but unfortunately, he doesn't have the ammunition. He's the oldest bear of all.
BLIZZARD
When exploring the snow covered field of K3, be sure to warm your toes in Blizzard's Basecamp! It's hidden in the snow so find carefully. Blizzard was in a skiing accident so he can't come out for a while.
BRAMBLE
Bramble, a botanist, loves flowers and gardening so much. He is looking for a flower since his patch of that certain flower was ruined by KAOS's machinery.
BENNY AND BJORN
These identical twins operates the ski lifts on the mountains of Razor Ridge. Bjorn's ski lift is broken. Can you fix it?
BARTER
He is the dirtiest of all bears and he oftens stumbles into a pond or fix other dirty gadgets. He always borrow objects or sometimes swaps them.
BAFFLE
This bear loves deciphering codes. Sometimes, he talks like a code too. There's only one code he can't decipher. There is only once object that will help him to uncover the secret.
BOOMER
Boomer's the name and pyrotechnics is the game. He lives in the Lost World and he loves to blow up things. He lives in a world of dynamite, explosives, and detonators. If you want his service, you must pay him Bonus Coins.
