Encoding in RA

Time suggested for your music: 3:00 or 4:00 m.
No rules, but if you really want to be heard, this time is enough to give an idea of a whole track.

In wav edit:
Normalize your wav *ever*! There's a strong lack of quality in encoding.
Go to DC Offset and let the automatic fix background noise that appears so much in Real Audio.
In encoder:
Choose the "Real Audio 5.0 32kps Music Mono" option.
If you want, Real Encoder is easy and free: DOWNLOAD IT NOW! (870K)

The Rush for Love - ( 0,4 Mb ) - by BenoA

"For 'The rush for love', I did that song in 30 minutes!!!
Yep, that's true. I was fooling around with a CD with some cool loops on it. This was a nice gift from my friend Endicott. My two kids were sitting on my laps and I was going nuts with ACID.
I MAINLY use Acid. It's my favorite proggy. Acid was really easy to learn.
That's it!!! Would be cool if every song were made that fast!!! "

Tay-Chee Is Not Dead - ( 1,9 Mb ) - by Brandon Machine

"Tay-Chee and BladeRunner songs and videos are made in 1993. year (B.C :))) on AMIGA 2000 using PAINT software (ver.2 or 3, I cannot recall). Filming is made using S-VHS camera (was it Panasonic?) and all is cut on Sony U-Matic video (profesional TV broadcast standard until mid-90`s). Music is recorded using Roland W-30 sampler, Roland JV-80 and Korg T-3 synths and Roland-Boss BX-16 mixer, directly to DAT. This was all driven by Atari 520 with 4Mb RAM and 40Mb hard disk, with Cubase Score 3.01. This Tay-Chee song was released on "Zagreb City Limited - Best of Techno in Croatia Vol. 1" compilation CD ("Dancing Bear", DBCD-001, 1993.) as their first CD. Until today, my songs were released on more than 15 compilations (I never liked my own CD, it`s too much exposing, always live gigs.... I`m more "studio-like" kind of guy. "

Music's Life - ( 1,5 Mb ) - by Greenhorn

"This track was collaboration with a friend of mine (DJ Hartdyke). Itīs a straight-up dance tune with some well-known lyrics :) The track is in full 12" length and made for his DJ set. He liked it so I figured someone else might like it, too. Check it out !!!
The lyrics in my house track were sampled off a white label dated 1995 - I have no clue by who they are or I would give them credit. They were later timestretched by 400% in Wavelab what gives them that strange sound. "

A Ride in My Car - ( 0,5 Mb ) - by BenoA

" I made this song about 4 years ago. I'm a car guy and when i did this song, i was trying to capture the feeling of a crazy ride down the road. I don't know if it gives you the same thrills but put this in your car stereo and push the pedal to the floor. Pretty simple set-up for the recording of that song: Roland SC-33 sound canvas, Kawai K-1 keyboard, Kawai Q-80 sequencer and Fostex X-26 four tracks tape recorder. All guitar tracks were recorded directly with an Art SGE mach II effects processor. For a complete MP3 of that song, go to www.mp3.com.

BenoA's gear: Pentium 133 with 32 meg of ram SoundBlaster AWE32 with 8 meg of ram SoundBlaster Live! value Windows98 Kawai K-1 keyboard Roland SC-33 sound canvas Boss digital reverb Charvel model 4 electric guitar Peavey Max100 guitar effects processor Alvarez accoustic guitar (a real cheap one) Realistic cheap 4 inputs mixer and these are the main softwarez i use: Cakewalk 8 CoolEdit Pro 1.1 Sonic Foundry Acid DrumzWizzard Fruity loops Band in a box v7.0g and some plug-ins. BTW, all of my samplez on my web site (right now) were recorded some years ago using a 4 tracks tape recorder and an external sequencer (Kawai Q-80), my Kawai K-1 keyboard and my Roland SC-33. "

Sunday At The Park - ( 0,3 Mb ) - by BenoA

"Typical bang your head on the wall and jump everywhere rock song. I like song that grooves and makes you tap your feet on the fllor. I made that song by the same time as *A ride in my car* with the same set-up. Saddly, i lost my master tape for that song, so this sample is the only thing that remains... "

Greedy Boy! - ( 1,4 Mb ) - by E B V

"Inspiration / Technique: It's a straight up dance tune with phat beatz and nice harmonies! Done in the summer of '98. Obviously one is happier during summertime. This is the reason why I made this 'happy' party song. Gear used: Yamaha A3000, An1x and MU90r, NordRack2 and Ensoniq FX "

Doom - ( 1,1 Mb ) - by Domino ( Volse )

"Written by Steffolino, the singer. We used Roland W30, Roland D110 and a Yamaha ZX81...all sequensing was made in the internal sequenser of the W30 by Steffolino; it was so damn good there was nothing to add/change...Me and Dino both play guitars and Steffo played the bass on that track as well. Backing vocals by Dino. Recorded on 16 track tape. "

Latino - ( 1,1 Mb ) - by Soma

"First track with a real synth, an Alesis QS6. This synth has weird edition, what is a problem: indeed it is a powerful tool, it has lots of sacarosis presets, awful! So, you *need* edit the sounds. Here i was still not doing it.
Sequenced in Cakewalk8, with Fruty Loops applying BBox addons sounds ( this is my *real* basic setup! ). "

Count Me In - ( 0,5 Mb ) - by Audionuts

"I created the loops with fruttyloops pro(rendered in to separate waves) then i used acid loops to extend and arrange the loops, after that i put the whole thing in soundforge 4.5 for some wave edditing! everything was done is the pc in a few hours(no keybords or any external instuments)i used loops and sounds(voices and stuff)that i collected from the internet. i hope everyone enjoys!! peace "
