Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The highlight of this year for me was the opportunity to transplant my left kidney to my brother, John. The improvement in his condition was both dramatic and immediate. We are both fully recovered now and are stronger in every way than we were before the operation. Both John and I were overwhelmed by the support and prayers of our friends and extended family.

Another milestone this year was my finally receiving (after 3 years) an MBA and an Electrical Engineering Masters Degree from Duke University.

u·til·i·tar·i·an·ism, n. the ethical doctrine that virtue is based on utility, that a person's actions should be in accordance with whatever provides the greatest net increase in well-being for society as a whole.

I'm hoping that the world will behave in a more utilitarian fashion. Let's you and I do our part this year!

Smile and Be Happy!!
