Hello,

Our favorite time of the year once again! We love reflecting on the many joyous times of Christmases past and enjoying the blessings of the present. We hope that your blessings approach or exceed ours.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Here's what we've been up to in 2003:

Employment: This was the second full year of operation for Eric's company, Altruist Financial Advisors LLC. They made a profit! The company is slowly but surely growing at an exponential rate. The company successfully registered ALTRUIST^® as a service mark (similar to a trademark) — a 19 month process negotiating the federal bureaucracy.

Melissa continues as a part-time nurse at Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.
Vacations: We spent a week and a half at our family's cottage in NW Michigan on beautiful Crystal Lake. We also spent a week at our favorite summer camp, Camp Michigania.
Boy Scouts: Our son, Morgan (11) joined a local Boy Scout Troop this year. Former Eagle Scout Eric also joined as an Assistant Scoutmaster. Highlights of our brief scouting experience (just since September) include a Mountain Biking campout.
Athletics: Morgan participated in baseball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and wrestling. Our daughter Lisette played soccer and participated in ballet for the first time. Eric was an assistant baseball coach for the first time.
Navy: Eric's still a Commander in the Navy Reserve. Unfortunately, Eric is now in an unpaid position, which will likely continue through his twenty year retirement in 2005.
Other: Eric reached the 20 gallon level of lifetime blood donations this year. The local Holland Sentinel had this article commemorating the milestone.
