Intermediate School basketball team beat Sidwell 56-28 at the Sidwell Friend's gym. |
This was Potomac's game all the way. The Panthers looked a little rusty, but for the first game they performed well. Potomac jumped out to a 16-9 first quarter lead and never looked back. Potomac extended their lead to 10 points at the half with the score 28-18. In the third quarter, the Panthers played a sufficating defense that only allowed Sidwell to score two points. At the end of three quarters, Potmac led by 24 points at 44-20. The fourth quarter was played pretty even as Potmac played less aggressive with the big lead. |
Michael Fischer led the Panthers in scoring with 17 points, followed by Marcus Ginyard and Brent Locey with 8 points each. Chris McNerney added 6 points. Potomac had 16 steals and only 8 turnovers in the game. Fischer and Locey had 4 steals each followed by Ginyard and McNerney with 2 each. |
