Tournament, the Potomac 7th grade basketball team beat Sidwell Friends 48-17 to advance to
the second round. |
Potomac jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The Panthers
dominated the game in every way. Potomac racked up 35 rebounds, 14 assists, and 14
steals, while shooting an impressive 21-41 from the field. At the half the panthers
led 22-8. In the second half, Potomac continued to dominate only allowing Sidwell 11 points in the half. Just about every player on the Potomac team scored in the game. It was a total team effort. Brent Locey led the scoring with 14 points, followed by Michael Fischer with 7 , Chris McNerney with 6, JD Deardourff with 5 and Pete Dalla and Michael Murphy with 4 each. Jason Aqui led the team in steals with 3 and David Brady led the Pnthers in rebounds with 8. Potomac's record improves to 11-2 for the season with the win.
