Note! Laetitia Hubert seems to be the eternal talent who suddenly makes it right to the very top. Many people had lost fait in her until last season. Then suddenly she created one of the biggest upsets of the season by being only the second skater of the season 1997/98 to defeat Tara Lipinski. After that result Hubert was no longer a forgotten figure skater. She finished the season off with a 4th place at Worlds. In between however she failed to produce the goods at the Olympics where she was only 20th. The poor rank surely doesn´t show the true potential of this skater, who´s nerves often have been her undoing. Hubert is very strong, when it comes to presentation, a very elegant skater, but her jumps are really inconsistant, when they do come off, they are great, but she needs more consistancy.
