Corvallis Summer Ultimate League Rules
Failure to field seven legitimate players on the field with at least three of each gender at the start of the game is a forfeit by the offending team. Non-negotiable, unless both teams cannot fulfill this requirement. Teams are still encouraged to play despite a forfeit.
The team receiving a pull determines the gender of the 7th player. The team pulling must match this gender except for the following conditions: (a) they do not have a 4th of that gender, or (b) the remaining players of this gender are incapacitated and are unable to play for the rest of the game.
For every game, players should bring soccer or turf shoes, water, light and dark shirts and a disc. Playing Barefoot is prohibited.
Players should show up around 6pm to prepare for the game. Games start at 6:30pm. Failure to start by 6:40pm is a forfeit by the offending team. This is non-negotiable.
No alcohol is allowed on any of the fields.
Players cannot play for more than one team at any time. Switching teams can only be approved by the League Committee. The penalty is a forfeit by the team hosting the offending player.
All players must have signed the waiver/roster and given their $3 to Corvallis Parks & Recreation.
For Willamette, "A" field is closer to the river; "B" field is closer to the disc golf course.
Team captains may be called upon for rule and procedure clarification.
Games are to 15 points, win by 2 up to a maximum of 19 points.
Each team has 3 time outs per game. Time outs can only be called by the player in possession of the disc. The disc is brought back into play at the same spot by the same player at the same stall count. All other players may be positioned as they wish.
Play nice. Have fun. Congratulate an opponent on a good play. Smile for a satellite picture.
Substitutions can only be made between points except for injury substitutions. If a player subs out because of injury, the other team may sub one player if they choose.
Stall count begins at "stalling 1", not 0. Turnover is at the first utterance of 10.
Mirror @ half: After a team reaches 8 points (halftime), the original pull orientation is "mirrored" by swapping positions from that first pull. For example, if the dark team pulled from the west end of the field to begin the game, the light team will pull from the west end of the field to start the second half. Half time should not be longer than 5 minutes.
