Well, the Caps are just uh... KICKING ASS. Yes for a while we were number one in the NHL. However, because Ranford played against Buffalo instead of Olaf "Da-Man" Kolzig, we have slipped back to tie for first place in the NHL. But after that loss we beat the God damn islanders for our fifth win of the year.
-Gonchar signs deal with Capitals-Gonchar finally came to terms with the Caps and played for the first time in the NHL regular season against the islanders.
-"Da-Man" (Kolzig) records his fourth NHL shutout-As all we loyal Caps fans know Olaf Kolzig is da-man. Now he is proving it to the rest of the country.
-Note-Kolzig only had 8 wins for all of last season
-Olaf "Da-Man" Kolzig and Peter Bondra to go to All Star game-Olaf Kolzig is having the year of his life. He is finally a #1 goalie, he is going to the Olympics in Nagano to fight for his native Germany, he has far surpassed his all time wins record, he already has 2 shutouts ,and he and teammate Peter Bondra are going to represent their respective countries in the all star game in vancouver when North America takes on the World
