How points are allocated in 2007:
All ACT Cross Country Club winter season events score 100 points for 1st place, 99 for 2nd, 98 for 3rd etc down to a minimum of 10 points for every finisher. For relay events, points are allocated on fastest times (100 for fastest, 99 for second fastest etc), with only your fastest relay leg counting.
You may race both short and long races on Saturday afternoon and score points in each.
Results in mixed races (most of the CCC events) are separated into female and male results before points are allocated. So, 100 points for the first female, 100 for the first male etc.
In the marathon, marathon-eve and half marathon, non-local results are excluded (if you place 5th and the four ahead of you are from Qld, you score 100 points).
The final result is based on the runner's best 12 races throughout the season.
The maximum possible score for the season is 1200 points (100 x 12 races) for 12 wins. In the event of a tie in any age-group, the winner of the perpetual trophy will be the person with the most wins during the season.
