U-5, U-6, U7, U-8 & U-9
DECEMBER 13 & 14, 1997

FORMAT: World Cup Format, 2 games minimum

Teams must be affiliated with Nevada State Youth Soccer Association.
All Rules in accordance with Nevada South Youth Soccer League.

 BLIND DRAWS WILL BE HEL AT GIBSON Jr. HIGH ON Dec. 3rd at 6:30 PM.

A MANDATORY CHECK-IN TEAM REGISTRATION WILL BE HELD AT DESERT BREEZE PARK 
on the 13th of December ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR FIRST SCHEDUDED GAME.

Player's Passes, Medical Realeses, Team Roster and Player's Loan Forms
will be checked and particiapation ribbons, program, rules will be hand out.

 5 v 5 including goalie for U 5 Max. Roster 10 Players.

 8 v 8 including goalie for U 9 Maximum Roster 14 Players.  
 Maximum Number of Guest Player per team is TWO Players.
 Maximum 2 games Saturday & 2 games Sunday
 Seeding by luck of draw.
 All Participants will receive tournament ribbon.
 1st and 2nd place awards will be given.

Entry fee of $75.00 made payable to NSYSL, and entry form must be received by
November 30, 1997. Late or incomplete entries cannot and will not be accepted.

RUG RAT TOURNAMENT

This document is a quick reference. For additional information consult 
the NSYSL Constitution and By-Laws or ask a tournament official.

GAME:    
      U 5, U 6, U 7 and U 8 will play TWO 20 minutes halfes. 
      U 9 will play Two 25 minutes halfes.
  
FIELD:   
                50 x 30, with small goals for U-5-6-7
                40 x 70, with small goals for U-8-9 
BALL:    
                Size 3 for U 5-6-7-8 and size 4 for U-9

TEAM:    
                U 5 Five a side, one of whom is the keeper.
                Maximum of 10 players per roster.
                U 6 Six a side, one of whom is the keeper.
                Maximum of 12 Players per roster.
                U-7-8 Seven a side, one of whom is the keeper.
                Maximum of 12 Players per roster.
                U-9 Eight a side, one of whom is the keeper.
                Maximum of 14 Players per roster.

EQUIPMENT:
                Players must to wear shin pads. No jewelry. Visiting team
                has jersey color preference.

RULES HIGHLIGHTS:
                
                1)      There are no penalty kicks.

                2)      There is no enforcement of off-sides rule except
                        for U-9 for flaglant obvious offsides.
                3)      Parents/spectactors are to stay three yards back
                        from the field.

                4)      Substitution during any stoppage of play with the
                        referee's permission.

                5)      All fouls result in indirect free kick.

                6)      Coaches must retain within 10 yards of midfield.

POINTS:          6 POINTS WINS  
                        3 POINTS TIE
                        1 POINT FOR SHUT-OUT
                        1 POINT FOR EACH GOAL - MAXIMUM 3 GOALS
