"The Assassin" Rose Mora is no stranger to the boxing ring.
She developed her skills as a street fighter in one of the toughest sections of Rome, Italy, and honed them as a boxer on her university's boxing team. She fought her way to the championship fight for the European championships, losing a very controversial decision to a French boxer. She has a new trainer, one of the finest in teaching how to "finish" her opponents.
Using her experience, Rose was able to withstand the attack of Janet Vigil, scoring a unanimous decision in her first WEBA match. She received favorable comments in the WEBA News, being noted as an up and coming boxer. She has decided to challenge boxers who are higher in the standings so she can show her skills and fight for the championship. In what was considered to be a stunning upset amonst WEBA boxers, Rose stopped the previously undefeated Sheryl "Steel" Hammer via a TKO, when the referee stopped the bout. Rose showed a tremendous amount of courage and proved to the WEBA she can take a punch in her loss to Faye Anders. She traded punches with Anders, and lost via a decision, breaking Faye's KO streak. In what was considered a "home town" decision (in San Juan, Puerto Rico? -- WebWeaver), Rose lost a 10 round decision to Andrea Wagner on April 19th.
In what was considered by many observers the finest single round of boxing in WEBA history, Rose put Sandy Jackman on her back twice in the last round, only to succumb to Jackson's lucky punch at the end of the fight. She rebounded in Rome, dispatching Logan Thomas to return to the winners column in the WEBA. In a very controversial loss, Rose knocked Tracy Saunders down twice in their match up, only to lose a split decision. On the comeback trail, she dispatched Terri Koval via a 10th round KO, and won a unanimous decision against Balio Frez.
