2000 Game 14 Summary

January 16, 2000 - The Vienna Warhawks 13 Year Old Boys County Select Team beat Mt Vernon 53-25 to remain undefeated in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League.

The Warhawks just didn't shoot very well going 20-61 or only 33% from the field. The first half was the worst of it. The poor shooting kept Mt Vernon in the game. The Warhawks did manage an eight point lead at the half though, with a 23-15 advantage.

Vienna did better in the second half, holding Mt Vernon to only 10 second half points. The Warhawks also put up 30 points to win the game easy.

Brent Locey led the Warhawks with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Derek Feussner also scored in double figures with 12 points, followed by Brendan hanifin with 8 points.

Vienna improves its record to 14-0 overall and 7-0 in the FCYBL with the win. The next game is scheduled for January 23rd against Reston at Edison HS at 4:30pm. The McNerney's have the snack. Go Warhawks!
