"Wolverine" Chad Wilson vs. Tommy Silver

We were live and direct once again from Rex Coliseum, home of Friday Night Fury!!! The house was packed as usual with scores of fans anticipating the next brutal battle in the on-going war between "Wolverine" Chad Wilson and RCW North American Champion Tommy Silver!! We were able to get a shot of the challenger entering the arena in his U of M jacket and hsi bag over his shoulder, a look of cold determination on his face! We then caught a glimpse of Tommy Silver entering Rex Coliseum, apparently pulling himself from the grasp of his "adoring" fans!! Silver grumbled about RCW's low-rent security as he walked to his dressing room with the North American title belt over his shoulder!! It should be a great matchup!! But before we made it to the main event, we had a great card lined up! Let's get to the action!!

"California Kid" Seth Gavin
w/ Allegra
Fr: Los Angeles, CA ^ Ht: 6'2" ^ Wt: 239
==vs==
Rufus Knight
Fr: Wessex, England ^ Ht: 6'5" ^ Wt: 268

The sparks started flying with "California Kid" Seth Gavin facing Rufus Knight! |[This Sign Is Better Than All Of Seth Gavin's Movies!!]| The Kid was pumped, dancing around the ring like a prizefighter, then leaping at Knight with ferocious kneelifts to the ribs and elbows to the back of the head!! Knight was visibly surprised by the speed of the attacks, quickly finding himself on the mat!! That's when Gavin took to the air, scoring with a few flying forearms and springboard heel kicks, but all of that came to a halt when Knight caught The Kid as he went for a springboard crossbody press and brought him down with a huge backbreaker!! From that point Rufus Knight used his size and strength to his advantage, smashing Seth Gavin with several avalance presses and power slams, even crushing The Kid with bearhugs!! |[Rufus Is Your Worst Knightmare!!]| Allegra began getting antsy as her leading man was being manhandled in the ring, folding up her director's chair and placing it on the ring apron!! Just as Rufus Knight blasted Gavin with a Samoan drop, Allegra jumped up and began vehemently protesting something!! Knight expressed his displeasure to the official and the ref went over to get her off the apron as Gavin smoothly retrieved the director's chair!! He crept up behind Knight, cocked back, and David Stallion grabbed the chait from him!! The Farm Boy blasted Gavin over the head with the weapon, sending him staggering into Knight's hands!! Stallion politely lifted Allegra and carried her down to the arena floor as The Crusader delivered The Sword in the Stone and made the pin for the one, two, and three!!!

High Risk
w/ El Negro {The Invader & Vic Payback}
Combined Wt: 540
==vs==
Beat Down Foundation
w/ The Honorable Brice
{Hostilnhel & Hannibal Barcas}
Combined Wt: 745

Next up, High Risk returned to tag team competition, taking on Beat Down Foundation!! |[Written on a giant milk carton: "MISSING - Good Tag Teams"]| The Honorable Brice's team has remarkable size, but The Invader and Vic Payback didn't seem to pay much attention, showing lost of focus and cohesion in the early parts of the match! Payback and The Conqueror cut the ring off for Hannibal Barcas, making lots of quick tags and using their different styles to keep him under control! Just as Payback brought Barcas down with a fireman's carry, our cameras spotted The Nighthawks skulking around the upper levels of Rex Coliseum! The competitors in the ring were oblivious though, as Hannibal Barcas managed to connect with a forearm to Payback's chest and make his way to the corner!! But before he could make it, Menace To Society came down to ringside and began spouting off to The Invader on the ring apron!! Barcas made the tag and Hostilnhel came charging into the ring as Stevie J and Dan Palmer continued to rag on both teams!! Before long, The Invader jumped down from the ring apron and went to blows with Stevie J while Palmer pulled Hannibal Barcas down and began wailing on him!! Just then, The Nighthawks came streaking down the aisle and dove into the ring, attacking Vic Payback and Hostilnel!! There was absolute chaos in and around the ring as all four tag teams battered each other!! The ref could do little more than call for the bell and disqualify both teams!! But this brawl raged on all the way up the ramp and into the commercial break!!!

Diablo
Fr: Parts Unknown ^ Ht: 6'6" ^ Wt: 295
==vs==
Blue Phoenix
Fr: Parts Unknown ^ Ht: 6'3" ^ Wt: 245

Our next match featured a pair of tested rivals who have more than a little bad blood between them: Diablo and Blue Phoenix!! |[Turn Up The Heat, Diablo!!]| |["Spike Me, BP!!" held by a female fan]| The match got started with Phoenix going straight at The Devil-Man, diving through his legs and taking him down with an inside cradle, then connected with a wishbone elbowdrop!! Diablo quickly regained his feet, but Phoenix put him right back down with a headscissors takedown, following with a springboard somersault legdrop, pinning for the quick two-count!! The Firebird continued with his dashing aerial offense, connecting with spinning heel kicks and flying axhandles, but Diablo would not go away, forcing Blue Phoenix to settle for a string of two-counts, then slowly countering Phoenix's attacks!! Finally, The Devil-Man countered an enzuguiri with a wheelbarrow suplex, following with a Saturn bomb!! Blue Phoenix was still in it, trying to squeeze in a few shots, but Diablo was undeniable now, delivering brainbusters and shoulderbreakers at will!! The Devil-Man then began to mix in a few bow-and-arrow submissions into the attack, bringing Blue Phoenix to the brink of submission!! Still, The Firebird fought on, refusing to submit but earning little more than gutwrench suplexes for his efforts!! Diablo nailed Phoenix with a back suplex, then whipped him into the turnbuckle, giving him the chance to leap onto the top turnbuckle and come off with a beautiful huracanrana, rolling Diablo up (and grabbing the ropes for leverage) for the one, the two, and the three!!! Blue Phoenix quickly slid under the ropes and began making his way up the ramp, grinning as only he can while Diablo stormed around the ring!!

Before we got to our next match, our cameras went backstage to catch a shot of Chad Wilson preparing himself for his main event North American Title Ladder Match. As he does a few military presses, "Sandman" Shawn Pierce walks in and wishes Wilson luck in his match, and tells The Wolverine that if anything should go down, he'll be out to help. Meanwhile, Tommy Silver is trying to get ready for the match, but has to keep shoving overzealous fans out of his dressing room! Silver gets on the phone and barks to his agent about RCW's lack of security for a "first-class top draw" such as himself! He continues to prepare as we get to the next match!

"The People's Choice" Tony Bravo
w/ Infinity
Fr: Detroit, MI ^ Ht: 6'4" ^ Wt: 260
==vs==
"The Natural" Mason Hawk
Fr: Crystal City, VA ^ Ht: 6'6" ^ Wt: 266

In our next match, "The People's Choice" Tony Bravo locked up with "The Natural" Mason Hawk!! |[Tony Bravo - The People's Choice For Solitary Confinement!!]| Bravo was still a little salty at not winning the U.S. Title, and Hawk was still pumped from his more-than-impressive showing in the battle royal, --including having eliminated Tony Bravo-- so this one got rough pretty quickly!! Bravo kicked and forearmed Hawk into the corner, but The Natural fought his way out with kneelifts and elbows, then whipped Bravo across the ring into the opposite corner, following in with a full head of steam! Tony Bravo was crushed by a Mason Hawk charging clothesline in the corner, then he was tossed to the mat with a back body drop!! The Natural decided to keep Tony Bravo on the mat, locking in a series of technical holds, but The Choice was ready for him, answering him hammerlock for hammerlock, half nelson for half nelson!! Bravo was able to work his way back to his feet, and set Hawk for a DDT, but The Natural countered with a Northern Lights suplex, bridging for the one, the two, and Bravo kicked out!! Hawk went to pull Bravo to his feet, but The People's Choice begged off, complaining to the ref that there was something in his eye!! (??) The official ordered Mason Hawk to the corner as he checked on Bravo's eye, opening the door for Infinity to sneak behind Hawk, and jab him in the back with a steel pipe!! Hawk crumpuled to the mat, writhing in pain as Tony Bravo shoved past the ref, grabbed Hawk and planted him with The Standing Ovation!! The Choice made the pin and secured the one, two, three, winning the match!!!

Jonathan Steel
Fr: Pittsburgh, PA ^ Ht: 6'9" ^ Wt: 295
==vs==
Kata Yoshikawa
Fr: Kyoto, Japan ^ Ht: 6'2" ^ Wt: 248

In our next match, Jonathan Steel faced Kata Yoshikawa in a challenge match pitting two highly-regarded contenders against each other!! The match began with a handshake, then a collar-and-elbow tieup! Steel wasted no time bringing Yoshikawa to the mat and strapping in a few front facelocks and fireman's carry takedowns, but Yoshikawa was in step with him, countering with Fujiwara armbars and leg grapevines!! Both were able to regain their feet, and Steel caught Yoshikawa with a few forearms and high knees, but The Sensei answered with a dazzling display of crescent kicks and back fists!! Kata Yoshikawa struck Jonathan Steel from all sides! Even when Steel blocked a left roundhouse kick, Yoshikawa came with an enzuguiri from the right!! Kata was fianlly able to get Steel on the mat, locking on camel clutches and half crabs, but The Real Deal was still ready to fight, refusing to submit and eventually cinching in a few cobra clutches and figure-four leglocks of his own!! Steel went on to deliver a few atomic drops and Doctor bomds, scoring several near-falls!! The crowd was pitching and rolling with every move as Steel and Yoshikawa gave it everything they had! Steel scored with a vertical suplex, then whipped Yoshikawa into the ropes, but The Sensei jumped feet-first through the middle and bottom rope, grabbed the top rope, and swung his feet back over the top rope, drilling Steel with a double thrust kick that sent The Real Deal careening across the ring!! The Sensei smoothly swung himself back into the ring and delivered The Shinden Spinebuster, making the pin for the one, two, and through the ropes dove Rob Holiday, blasting Yoshikawa in the face with the RCW World Title belt!!! The ref called for the bell as Holiday hammered Yoshikawa with stomps and kicks!! Just then, Blue Phoenix leaped onto the guardrail, onto the ring apron, and nailed Jonathan Steel with a slingshot senton!! Holiday and Phoenix continued to batter and berate Yoshikawa and Steel, respectively, laying in shots until they bumped into each other and whirled around, fists at the ready!! The two locked eyes for a moment before Rob Holiday collected his belt and left the ring, then Phoenix climbed out, leaving Yoshikawa and Steel laid out in the ring!!

"Wolverine" Chad Wilson
Fr: Ann Arbor, MI ^ Ht: 6'6" ^ Wt: 285
^=vs=^
RCW North American Champion
Tommy Silver
Fr: Orlando, FL ^ Ht: 6'5" ^ Wt: 255

It was finally main event time as "Wolverine" Chad Wilson challenged RCW North American Champion Tommy Silver in a Ladder Match for the belt!! Silver --looking a bit disheveled-- handed the belt to the ref who hooked the strap in place, then hoisted it 15 feet above the mat!! Then Tommy Silver ripped into Chad Wilson with vicious right hooks and elbows to the head!! Silver battered Wilson to the mat with axhandles and forearms, then stomped the challenger mercilessly before dropping knee after knee on his head and back!! Chad Wilson writhed in pain as Silver retrieved the ladder, raised it highm and caught a mule kick straight to the gut!! The crowd exploded as The Wolverine got his feet and spiked Tommy Silver with a DDT, then connected witha big elbowdrop before setting up the ladder and beginning the climb!! Wilson was about halfway up when The Playboy got to his feet and pulled the challenger back down to the mat! Chad Wilson was fired up scoring with several power moves, but each of his attempts at the win were cut short by Tommy Silver!! Wilson kept fighting though, grinding the fight out of Silver with cross armbreakers and atomic drops, but the champion wasn't ready to give up his belt yet, countering with half crabs and bulldog headlocks!! Suddenly it was Tommy Silver setting the pace and delivering power maneuvers, and it was Tommy Silver climbing the ladder and reaching the belt, only to have Chad Wilson shove the ladder over, sending Tommy Silver flying over the top rope and through the announcers' table!! The Woverine exited the ring and rammed Silver's head into the ringpost, then whipped the champion into the guardrail, before finally rolling Tommy Silver back into the ring, climbing the ladder, and pulling the belt free!!! Chad Wilson won the match and reclaimed the RCW North American Championship!!
