Things were definitely hot in Rex Coliseum as we lit up another edition of Friday Night Fury!!! Before we could get to the action, Gary Jackson was seen working the locker room concerning the U.S. Title battle royal; it was scheduled to include ten wrestlers, but only had nine because Rufus Knight accepted a match against The Invader! None of the wrestlers could say how the situation would be handled, and Jackson continued to scour the backstage area for answers!! While he was on the hunt, things were getting started in the ring!
Beat Down Foundation

{Hostilnhel & Hannibal Barcas}
Combined Wt: 745

NeWave
{Chaz & Lance}
Combined Wt: 500
We got things rolling with some tag team action pitting Beat Down Foundation against NeWave!! Hostilnhel and Hannibal Barcas are an imposing duo, and they used their enormous size to their advantage, tossing Chaz and Lance around the ring like rag dolls!! The Beach Bums showed quite a bit of ring rust as Hostilnhel battered Lance with forearms to the back, then crushed him with bearhugs, while Barcas drove Chaz to the mat with power slams and Saturn bombs!! NeWave made a few faint attempts to get back in the fight, but BDF was clearly in control, nad not looking to relinquish it! They finally ended it with Hostilnhel lifted Chaz for a torture rack drop just as Barcas nailed him with a reverse neckbreaker, a move they call The Laid To Rest!! Barcas made the pin for the one, two, three, and BDF's first victory!!!

Rufus Knight
Fr: Wessex, England ^ Ht: 6'5" ^ Wt: 268
Next up was the returning Invader to face rookie sensation Rufus Knight!! The Invader has proven that he is one of the game's roughest players, but in this match, Knight was all too ready for him!! The Conqueror came raging in with axhandles and back elbows, but Knight kept his composure and countered The Invader's rough-knuckle tactics with solid technical wrestling, bringing The Invader to the mat!! The Conqueror is no stranger to mat wrestling though, keeping pace with each of Knight's half nelsons and leg grapevines, but The Crusader was sharp, working the technical moves into submission holds!! Knight locked on a few rear chinlocks and cobra clutches, but now he was playing The Invader's game!! The Conqueror was able to answer Knight's submission holds with a few of his own, and pretty soon, The Invader was in full control of the match!! When Knight wasn't being worn down by inverted STFs and spinning toeholds, he was being blasted with machine suplexes and fallaway slams!! Knight made a last gasp attempt to get back in it, reverseing a whip into the ropes and coming at Invader with a clothesline, but The Conqueror ducked the move and countered with The Conquest!! He brought Knight to the mat and soon The Crusader was forced to tap, giving the match to The Invader!!!

10-Man Battle Royal
Vic Payback ^ David Stallion ^ T-Bone ^ "Sandman" Shawn Pierce ^ "California Kid" Seth Gavin
"The Natural" Mason Hawk ^ Irons ^ Jonathan Steel ^ "The People's Choice" Tony Bravo
All nine participants made their way to the ring as the refs struggled to hold them apart until the bell rang, but suddenly there was an explosion and two pillars of flames blazed on the ramp as none other than DIABLO came charging to the ring!! He dove under the ropes and the chaos commenced!! Fists were flying in every which direction, and no one was immune!! Mason Hawk battered Irons with elbows to the face, Seth Gavin and Shawn Pierce traded hard rights, and Tony Bravo seemed to be fighting two guys at once!! The opening battle raged for a while with the first guy being eliminated after eight minutes, and only two guys hitting the floor as we reached the twenty-minute mark!!
^T-Bone, Tony Bravo, 8:52^
^Diablo, Vic Payback, 13:06^
With eight contenders remaining, the competition was savage!! Jonathan Steel crushed Shawn Pierce with a shoulderbreaker as David Stallion caught a mean kneesmash from Seth Gavin!! As we reached 40 minutes, we got rid of three more wrestlers, making the fight even tighter!!
^Seth Gavin, Tony Bravo, 25:47^
^David Stallion, Jonathan Steel, 32:15^
^Tony Bravo, Mason Hawk, 36:23^
The field was down to five, making things quite interesting; at one point, Jonathan Steel and Vic Payback teamed up to crush Mason Hawk with a double gutbuster, and at another point, Irons simply rested in the corner as Hawk, Pierce, Payback and Steel all went at each other!! Still, with the match reaching the one-hour mark, things heated up incredibly, sending us into the home stretch!!

^Jonathan Steel, Vic Payback, 51:44^
We were down to the last two competitors, and neither one was ready to quit!! Hawk went right after Payback with fireman's carry takedowns and German suplexes, but The Pit Boss came right back at him with windmill backbreakers and dragon sleepers!! In the end, Mason Hawk set Payback for a DDT, but The Pit Boss countered with a back body drop, dumping Hawk over the top rope and down to the arena floor!! The ref called for the bell and awarded the United States Championship belt to Vic Payback!!!

RCW North American Champion
"Wolverine" Chad Wilson
Fr: Ann Arbor, MI ^ Ht: 6'6" ^ Wt: 285
Our next match looked like another battle in a long and brutal war, but this time the prize was one of the top titles in the industry as Tommy Silver faced RCW North American Champion "Wolverine" Chad Wilson for the belt!! As has become customary, these two ripped into one another on sight with Wilson dropping the belt and his U of M jacket before even reaching the ring, then jumping in and pounding away at Tommy Silver!! The Playboy got in a few good shots as well, backing Wilson into the corner with hard kidney shots, then driving knee after knee into Wilson's ribs!! But The Wolverine caught fire, grabbing Silver throwing him into the corner and torching his chest with knife-edge chops (whooo!!) before bringing The Playboy out of the corner with a snap suplex!! From there Wilson settled into his technical offense, tying the challenger in knots and scoring a few near-falls in the process!! But Tommy Silver refused to go away, jabbing a thumb into Wilson's throat to create some separation, then bringing The Wolverine down with a swinging neckbreaker!! He pulled the champion to his feet, but Wilson came out of nowhere with an inverted atomic drop, then he blasted The Playboy with a clothesline that sent him over the top rope and out to the arena floor!! Chad Wilson went out of the ring and pulled Tommy Silver to his feet, but Silver struck The Wolverine right on the chin with a roll of quarters!! Wilson staggered and Silver slammed his face into a ringpost before rolling him back into the ring!! Once inside, Silver was able to deliver The Silver Platter, bridging for the one, the two, and the three, winning the match and the North American Championship!!!

RCW WORLD CHAMPION
Rob Holiday
Fr: Yonkers, NY ^ Ht: 6'7" ^ Wt: 269
It was main event time, and this one promised to be a big one: Blue Phoenix against RCW World Champion Rob Holiday in a non-title match!! Their Superclash battle was well-matched and this one was more of the same; Holiday got things started first going for forearm smashes and lariats, but Blue Phoenix made himself a hard target, smoothly eluding the champion's attacks! The Firebird then turned on the offense, running into the ropes and coming back with a baseball slide through Holiday's legs, leaping up onto his shoulders and taking him down with a Victory roll, pinning for the one, two, and not enough!! Holiday hurried to his feet only to have Phoenix blast him with a springboard dropkick, and follow up with a ropeflip moonsault!! Blue Phoenix' s aerial offense was in high gear, but Rob Holiday would not give in, ducking a spinning heel kick and taking The Firebird over witha belly-to-belly suplex!! Holiday was moving with a purpose as he battered Blue Phoenix with axhandles and headbutts, then slammed The Firebird's head into the turnbuckle repeatedly!! Phoenix staggered out of the corner into a thunderous spinebuster, then Bobby Vacation locked in a figure-four leglock!! Blue Phoenix struggled against the pain, but was able to reach the ropes and force the break!! Holiday released the hold and went right after Phoenix, but The Firebird had already taken cover outside the ring!! Holiday came out after him, blasting him with a few kneelifts, then he whipped Blue Phoenix into the ringsteps! But The Firebird reversed the whip and sent Holiday crashing into the ringsteps!! Then he followed with a standing dropkick that drove Holiday's head into the ringpost!! The ref's count was up to eight at this point, prompting Blue Phoenix to roll under the ropes as the count reached nine, then ten!! The ref called for the bell and awarded the countout victory to Blue Phoenix!!! No sooner was Phoenix's hand raised than Diablo came charging out of the crowd, diving into the ring and crushing Phoenix from behind with a double axhandle!! The Devil-Man put a few boots to Phoenix while Rob Holiday collected himself and stumbled to his feet, finding himself face to face with Kata Yoshikawa!! The Sensei looked deep into Holiday's eyes, then handed him the World Title belt!! Holiday snatched the belt and staggered up the ramp as Diablo talked smack to Blue Phoenix!!!
