--The amethyst dragon Gembright is first sighted in the Channel Locks.

--The Rengarth barbarians establish Coldfoot.

--A group of adventurers disappear while traveling near Thunder Peak. Divinations reveal that a powerful undead creature was responsible, but no one is able to find either traces of the adventurers or any undead.

--The Netherese enclave of Spiel is established. It quickly becomes home to many magic schools and universities. Within ten years, the number of schools outnumber the taverns and festhalls put together.

--A temple of Kozah is built in the town of Moniker. The temple is nine stories tall, and shaped like a whirlwind.

--A group of Vandal barbarians destroy another group of miners and warriors who were desecrating their burial mounds.

--The first recorded instance of the Channel Mountains being home to a cloud giant clan happens when Harborage begins to trade with them. These cloud giants are identified as the Amanir clan.

--An apprentice working for the phaerimm steals seven of the Nether Scrolls. The mageling is killed as he leaves the city, but the Scrolls are never recovered.

--Founding of Bandor Village.

--The Netherese arcanist Tolodine is born.

--A work strike by the gnomes of Netheril is successful, and the gnomes are released from servitude to the Netherese. Most gnomes head immediately south, fleeing from Netheril.

--The logging community of Sepulcher is established.

--The Caravan Wars start. 3,000 owlbears are killed.
--The trading post of Old Owl Well is established, manned by scrying mages who keep a close watch on the elven nation of Illefarn with spells and crystal balls.

--Death of the Netherese arcanist Sadebreth.

--The town of Conch decides to live with the harrassment of the Rengarth barbarians.

--The Netherese arcanist Tolodine dies of old age in Imbrue.

--The arcanist Trebbe is killed when he attempts to enchant a magical crown and the spells go awry somehow. This crown becomes known later in history as the Crown of Horns.

--Birth of Jeriah Chronos, who laters becomes known as the Chronomancer.

--Lashia the Dagger executes two of her apprentices for creating a mythallar in Dagger's Point. It becomes illegal to own a mythallar in the enclave (this extends to mythallar-powered magic items). The punishment is severe beating or even death.
--The arcanist Aksa the Destroyer is born.

--The Netherese discover the properties of flint and steel (i.e. making fire from the sparks of flint and steel).

--The hunting village of Wreathe is established.

--A mythallar is created in Earsome. This allowes the residents of the city to keep ears as trophies with the aid of preservation spells.

--The city of Scourge is attacked by the goblins of the Shining Tooth clan.

--The Chronomancer aids Illusk against orc hordes. He stands nearly alone against them and is grievously injured.

--The Netherese arcanist Cragh is born. He is deaf from birth.

--Death of the Chronomancer from a war wound that never healed.

--The Wont Surge floods and causes extensive damage to the town of Remembrance.

--A tremendous orc horde, led by giants and their ogre generals, completely razes the human civilization of Illusk.

--Scimitars are introduced to Netheril. There is speculation that the scimitar was originally a drowish weapon.

--Ogres begin to attack the farms around Canlespiere. A very canny ogre named Storm leads the ogres.
--The Netherese arcanist Fourfinger is born. He comes to specialize in weather magic.

-2051/

--A group of Netherese hunters encounter Storm and his ogres. Two hunters survive the battle to report that Storm is an ogre mage.

-2049/

--Storm and his ogres battle a group of Netherese arcanists at the shores of the Southfill River. It is assumed that Storm perished in the battle, but in any case, the ogres never trouble Canlespiere again.

-2047/

--The Netherese arcanist Quantoul is born.

-2031/

--The Netherese arcanist Lucke is born in Conifera.

-2029/

--The Netherese arcanist Anglin is born in Seventon.

--The arcanist Quantoul creates the enclave Jockteleg.

--Jarm battles and kills the sorceress Volhm in a spellbattle. Volhm's apprentices seek to avenge their mistresses death, but they are killed one by one by Jarm.

--Lashia the Dagger is assassinated. The resulting street war over power in Dagger's Point lasts for the next five years.

--While experimenting with Jockeleg's mythallar, the arcanist Quantoul polymorphs the entire enclave into Voadkyn (wood giants). A side effect of the transformation allowed the transformed citizens to retain their intelligence and abilities they posessed while within the mythallar. However, if the transformed voadkyn left the mythallar they continued to change into a voadkyn, completely losing their magical abilities as the voadkyn mind took over.

--Conch and the Rengarth barbarians begin to war again, over the opening of tunnels into the Cave of Lost Souls.

-1926/

--The Netherese arcanist establishes the enclave of Opus.

-1925/

--The Cave of Lost Souls and the tunnels leading to it are taken over by the Rengarth barbarians and collapsed. Due to the Rengarth resistance, they are never repoened.

-1921/

--The arcanist Anglin disappears through a mystic portal that appears when his research into a gateway spell backfires. He is presumed dead.

-1899/

--The Netherese arcanist Chever is driven insane after repeated contact with other-planar beings. He dies when he leaps into a sphere of annihilation.

-1897/

--The Netherese arcanist Dace is born. Throughout his life, Dace is an ardent worshipper of Mystryl, unlike most archwizards.

-1896/

--24 scrolls of the remaining Nether Scrolls are stolen. The thieves, fearful of Netherese retribution, destroy the golden scrolls, pounding them into gold chunks.
--Khopesh swords fall completely out of fashion in Netheril.

-1895/

--Macht Lake is named for the Rengarth word for "power" or "might."

-1885/

--The arcanist Jarm is assassinated by his enemies.

c.-1859

--A group of experienced warriors stumble upon the lair of the blue dragon Brightstrike. More than 15 warriors and the dragon herself are killed in one battle. Most of the warriors are resurrected, and they continue to hunt the area.

-1838/

--The lich Dethad is destroyed by Ioulaum for using his spell Dethad's Trap (trap the soul) to take over the body of another arcanist's apprentice.

-1826/

--A landslide damages many of the outlying fields feeding Remembrance.

-1806/

--The Netherese arcanist Efteran is born.

-1791/

--Floating bubbles are designed and perfected in Netheril. They come into widespread use as a means to transfer objects or people from one place to another.

-1776/

--The arcanist Dace is killed after one of his rivals slips him a cursed potion of longevity, aging Dace rather than making him younger.

-1766/

--The arcanist Efteran dies, apparently from natural causes. A resurrection attempt by her apprentices fails to bring her back to life.

-1754/

--The Apothecs, a people derived from Netherese stock, but unwilling to live by magic, are wiped out from a plague supposedly sent by Moander.

-1741/

--The arcanist Lucke leaves Conifera and is never heard from again. He is assumed dead.

-1720/

--Netherese wizards arrive near the blasted ruins of Uvaeren, fleeing something; they die within two years after uncovering a hidden library cache and unwittingly setting loose some of its magical defenses.

--The Netherese arcanist Brightfinger is born.

-1660/

--The Netherese arcanist Enollar is born in Harborage.

-1658/

--The Mines of Dekanter begin to fail. They are soon abandoned.

--The floating Netherese city of Sunrest falls from the sky and is destroyed when ill-planned spell research on an imporved version of the meteor swarm spell called Sunrest Sunshock fails. There are no survivors.

--The Mines of Dekanter are re-opened as a testing ground for dangerous spells.

--Tournaments of chance are established at the temple of Tyche in Imbrue. These tournaments are incredibly popular, drawing even the enclave of Ioulaum there for several years.

--Quagmire and its temple of Targus fields 20,000 troops to turn back an orcish horde marching on Netheril. 11,000 Quagmiran troops die, but over 150,000 orcs are killed as well.
--The Netherese archwizardess Tempera of Fenwick transforms the bandit hideout of Doubloon into her own enclave. Doubloon becomes a rogue enclave, searched for by many arcanists for its counterfeiting practices, but is never brought to justice.

--Enoller stows away on a ship bound for Seventon. Once there, he becomes an apprentice at Alimon's Mental Academy.

--The Netherese arcanist Decampus is born.

--The Netherese arcanist/fighter General Matick is born. Matick becomes one of Netheril's greatest military leaders. He is also a xenophobe, hating elves and halflings especially.

--A gold mine is discovered in the Dementia mountain range.

-1561/

--A monastary of Jannath is established on the slopes of Glorifier Mountain.
--The arcanist Enollar dies.
--General Matick dies.

-1542/

--A troll ear regenerates into a troll, slaughtering a noble family in Earsome before it could be dealt with.

-1531/

--A plague originates in Bandor Village, causing the death of all life in the village. It is rumored that the plague was caused by contact with a winged humanoid race.
--The plague from Bandor sweeps through Vandal Station, decimating the population.

-1507/

--The Lady Polaris is born.

-1502/

--The Netherese arcanist Fahren is born.

-1496/

--The Lady Decampus tires of being an arcanist and the politics associated with it. She leaves the enclave of Ioulaum and becomes a wandering bard.

-1489/

--An unknown rival for an unknown reason marks the arcanist Brightfinger for assassination.

-1486/

--The Ashwind Assassins assassinate the arcanist Brightfinger. All that is left is a small pile of ashes.

-1471/

--The Netherese enclave of Shade is established. This community is continually shoruded in twilight due to a spell similar to darkness. The arcanists of Shade are primarily interested in planar research.

-1462/

--The arcanist Fahren is killed when a rival journeys to Thiefsward and uses a sphere of annihilation to kill him.

-1423/

--The arcanist Requiar takes control of Shadowtop Borough in a ruthless attack that leaves more than 30 of his peers dead. Requiar is noted as wearing the Crown of Horns.

-1401/

--The arcanist Lady Polaris creates an enclave from the town of Delia.

-1384/

--Gr'Zhad, a lizard king shaman, takes control of the lizard men tribes of the Marsh of Simplicity. The lizard men begin many forays against the town of Zenith. Eventually, many come to believe that Gr'Zhad is an alias for a shape-changed Ioulaum, who was demonstrating the need that Netheril's ground-based cities had for the enclaves. Ioulaum denies this, but it is never disproved.

-1382/

--The Barbarian Schism occurs as the Angardt tribe begins to learn magic from an unknown arcanist.

-1375/

--The Barbarian Schism ends when the Rengarth barbarians have driven off all of the Angardt. The barbarians are denfinitely two separate tribes from this point onward.

--The Angardt and Rengarth become mortal enemies, attacking each other on sight.

-1332/

--The Netherese arcanist Hamring is born in the village of Specie.

-1322/

--A platinum mine is discovered in the Dementia Mountain Range.

--The town of Blister is founded.
--The arcanist and naturalist Hamring dies of a heart attack. Two less-talented simulacrums suvive him, and attempt to continue his studies and research.

--Trothas Helgaras takes control of Dagger's Point.

-1250/

--The Netherese arcanist M'dahl is born.

-1247/

--Kismet is founded by Angardt refugees fleeing the Barbarian Schism.
--The Angardt of Kismet and the thieves of Thiefsward have their last major confrontation, although the two groups continue to harass each other.

-1206/

--The Crown of Horns drives Requiar of Shadowtop insane. A concerted attack by his enemies kills Requiar, but the Crown disappears.

-1205/

--End of the Golden Age of Netheril. Beginning of the Age of Discovery.
--Discovery of chardalyn in ore found between the Zweihaus River and Wont Surge. This causes the small mining community of Fluvion to grow faster than expected.

-1166/

--The Lady Decampus is killed in spellbattle with the arcanist Delzjhava while exploring Netheril's frontier.

-1145/

--Coldfoot is attacked by marauding orcs, but manages to repulse the warring humanoids.
--Frothwater is established where a series of small streams converge into the Hungry River.
--Holloway is established as an archeological base to study the caves of the first humans on Toril.
--The blue dragon Lightningdance raids Palter. The wyrm does this every spring until -883 DR.
--A church of the treacherous aspect of Tyche is built in Shade. This church shares a great rivalry with the church of Tyche in Imbrue.

c.-1114

--The magic of spelljamming is discovered by the Netherese. Netheril's main spelljammers are from the enclave of Yeoman's Loft. The space marines of Netheril quickly acquire a reputation akin to that of the illithid race, when they begin vivisectioning anything they run across. These acts isolate the Netherese from the spelljamming community.

-1105/

--Sanctuary is attacked by an unknown cloud dragon, and battlemagic is used within the enclave for the first time.
--The Trollflame War begins between trolls and the community of Conifera.

-1075/

--Vandal Station ceases to be a village, as the only ones left are Vandals too stubborn to leave their ancestral home.

-1066/

--Arctic Rim begins to wither and die as Netheril turns its attentions towards Realmspace.

-1064/

--An illithid spelljammer is sighted in the Skyward Realms (Realmspace).
--the floating Netherese city of Yeoman's Loft opens trade with spelljammers.
