Grudge Matches!

Several WEBA boxers just can't stand each other, and are looking for more than our usual showdown in the ring!

WEBA manager Kwan Shu Wu has invited these feuding fighters to duke it out at his Fighting Tigers club in Pattaya, Thailand. According to their managers, both Pam Chai and Nikki Reyes got their start in Mr. Wu's clubs!

These fights are not for the faint-hearted. They go on until one boxer is knocked out or unable to continue. There are no judges. Fouls aren't called. Fights aren't stopped for cuts or broken noses ... only if one boxer can't see well enough to battle on.

Action at the Fighting Tigers leaves no doubt about the winner, as the loser is usually carried out of the ring.

WEBA boxers with scores to settle and the toughness to "fight to the finish" can now go to the Fighting Tigers to put 'em up ... or be shut up.

The cards are sent by email only to those WEBA players who want them.

There is no regular schedule for these cards. The Fighting Tigers club will be open for grudge matches whenever there are enough challenges and we can fit them in.

WEBA Rules for the Fighting Tigers Club

  • Challenges should be sent by email, identified as "grudge match challenge".
  • Both fighters must agree to the fight.
  • Both fighters must explain the grudge ... in email, in the WEBA Newsroom, or in an interview for WEBA News or FIST Magazine.
  • There is no penalty for refusing to fight a grudge match. This is an optional "extra" for WEBA players who want tougher-than-usual fights with clear decisions.
  • Fighting Tigers Club champion Transam Lottaporn, who fights so rough that she is forbidden to compete in the WEBA, is always looking for opponents in the Club!
  • Boxers may fight in the Fighting Tigers Club while ineligible to fight in the WEBA, i.e. while on medical layoff or in training.
  • If a boxer is kayoed or injured at the Fighting Tigers Club, she must sit out the next regular WEBA card.
  • There are no weight restrictions.
  • The fights count in the WEBA standings and pay regular WEBA prize money, so that earnings can be used for training. Prize money for defeating Transam Lottaporn is same as for the WEBA Open title!
