Another WIN notched up to the Woodies!!

World Team Championship, Dusseldorf

Well, The Aussies didn't make it through to the final, but the Woodies won their round robin doubles matches against Vacek/Suk, Bjorkman/Tillstrom, and Reneberg/Martin.

French Open

The Woodies were thrashed 6-4 6-2 6-0 in the third round by Knowles and Nestor, who made it through to the final.

Queens

The Woodies were declared joint champions as there was no time to complete matches, thanks to the ever intrusive English weather.

Wimbledon

The Woodies came close to winning their 6th straight Wimbledon, but were pipped at the post by Eltingh and Haarhuis who beat them in the final 2-6 6-4 7-6 5-7 10-8

The Great American Insurance ATP Tournament

The Woodies lost in the Quarters to Delatre and Santoro 6-7(2) 6-1 7-5

The US Open

The Woodies lost in the 3rd round to eventual winners Sandon Stolle and Cyril Suk 3-6 6-3 7-5. Oh well, at least an Aussie (Stolle) won! Not to mention Rafter in the Men's Singles, and Dokic in the Girl's singles...
