Eagles bomb Bobcats
Aberdeen Central jumped out of the gates fast and furious on Thursday night, scoring 20 points in the first quarter en route to a convincing 66 - 49 victory over the Brookings Bobcats. The Eagles hot shooting was sparked early by senior Dawn Sillman who hit 5 of 6 three pointers on the night, scoring 21 points in only three quarters of action. Senior Jodi Dahlerup and junior Katie Norman also hit three pointers to help bust Brookings' zone defense. The Eagles got scoring from 11 different players on the night and built a 23 point lead midway through the final frame. The Eagles improve to 2-0 in the ESD and 2-0 overall with the win with a very difficult stretch ahead of them. The Eagles play their next 6 games away from the Arena. Next up for the Eagles is Saturday night when Aberdeen Central will take on district foe Mitchell in the Kernel's home gym.
