On The Bus
No matter how much you feet are hurting, run to the bus. Get a seat and sit there quickly before everyone else takes it. Saving seats for friends will not work. It's each for their own and it's a dog eat dog world out there. Don't even think about putting your bag on the seat and running off to get your bag you forgot. It will end up out on the road, seeming to have accidentally fallen out of the window, and nobody seems to have noticed it having been there in the first place. And there will be around 5 people fighting for your seat.
So, once you're on the bus, squished up against the window and your school bags, with 2 people on your lap and someone squashed in next to you, you can now relax. ? You have to either put on your shoes and socks and stay in your rowing clothes for school, only to be told off and not to mention have to walk around in your smelly rowing clothes all day, or you can attempt to get changed into your school uniform whilst on the bus. Now, most schools that do rowing are private schools. So, what you have to put on, at least, is a pair of stockings, a skirt, a tie, a shirt, a blazer, a jumper and shoes. Not very easy in a crowded bus. And don't forget the bus is moving too. Swerving around corners...sudden stops...you get the picture.
Hungry? You're famishing, I'm sure. Well, it's a good thing I remembered to pack you breakfast.
Mmmm...appetizing. Especially after a long hard row, this will keep you going until recess! Don't forget, you can't throw the banana peel out of the window of the bus. Even if your coach is walking along the side of the road. You get to hold it in your hand until you get to school.
The Remainder of Monday (yes, I'm still on the first day)
