The Remainder of Monday
Yes, we are still on the first day. Seems like a year has gone already hasn't it? And it's 8.30 in the morning.
After you get to school, you must rush to your locker, pick up any undone homework and attempt to do it whilst running to class. Not a very easy thing to do, and yet somehow easier than getting dressed on the bus. For the rest of the day, your task is to basically stay awake through all seven of your classes, take notes and even do some work. I know it's hard, it gets harder.
After school you must either catch the bus home, walk home, or get a lift home. Either way its painful because after today, you are going to be really sore, whether you are standing, walking or sitting. (The walkers probably have it worse though) When you get home, you feel sooooo tired and you just want to lie down and go to sleep. But you can't because you have heaps of homework, not to mention assorted assignments and tests to study for, and if you are a senior, exams are probably looming too.
The earliest you possibly can get to bed is probably 9.30pm, and this may seem early to the nonrowers but trust me, it's so late. It means that while the average person is up around 15 hours a day, the rower is up 16 and a half hours, and remember, they got about 5 hours sleep the night before because the good movies are always on Sunday nights.
Finally you get to bed.
