So You Want to be an Elite Scuba Diver?

Don't think you can learn how just be reading this.
It takes dedication and hard vigorous training and
a life time commitment.

Or it can take a week of training (with breaks) while you're on holiday.

Here's What you're gonna' need:

Nerves of Steel
For driving to the port.
Sun tan lotion
Once you're all geared up, you don't want the four square centimeters of skin
left open to the elements to get sun burn.
Stuff to breathe underwater
(Careful it's getting technical now) Otherwise you can't go that far.
Cool diving clothes to wear
Like you've never wanted to tight fitting body suits.
A Scuba Buddy to dive with
For sad lonely people, a scuba buddy can normaly be hired from most dive centres.
By the way they are called DiveMasters.

Right, now seriously, as a scuba diver you'll need to be able to do the following to go diving.
  • Hold your breath for up to three hours.
  • See clearly underwater.
  • Float at any depth.
  • Swim fast without getting tired.
  • Keep warm underwater.

As most people can't do these things, various pieces of
equipment have been invented to help out.
First of all, to see clearly we use a Face Mask.

Or you can find your own way round the Scuba Diver.

Back to the Start. You know you want to. Go on. Do it!
