This page is definitely under construction, for I do not have enough time to put on all the neat teaching ideas I have! However, here are a few neat ideas I have learned from my short experiences in the classroom.
*Use quotes, writing prompts, pictures, or sayings at the beginning of class for a "Free Writing" assignment. Each day, as the students come into the room, have something already written on the board or overhead that they should come into the room and write about for 5-10 minutes. They don't have to write specifically about what you have on the board; they can write about whatever they want, as long as they are writing. This gets them immediately quiet, and gives you a few minutes to get your materials together for the next lesson!
