Here is a list of my favorite quotes. One interesting thing I have my students do at the beginning of each class period is called "Free Writing." I know, it's nothing knew, but it really helps me to get to know them better when I collect and read them! And it helps them get their thoughts out on paper.
1. Write non-stop for at least 5-10 minutes.
2. Write about a picture, quote, prompt, or whatever else is given, OR write about anything you want to. Write your train of thought. If you cannot think of anything to write, just write the same word over and over, "I don't know what to write....," or something else until you can think of something.
Here is a list of quotes, sayings, writing prompts, and other things I have collected througout the years. Use them for free writing in your classroom, or just copy them and keep them for yourself! If you have any I might enjoy, please email them to me! They may get posted on this page sometime soon!
