The Mitchell Family

As I have already stated earlier, I am the second son of Bobby and Sandra Mitchell of Clarksville, Arkansas. I have one older brother, Ira. (To view photos of of our small family go to the photos page)

Bobby is the son of Hazel Standen and the late Wolf Mitchell. He is the brother of Marilyn Davis and step brother of Joyce Radell and Patsy Hill.

Sandra is the daughter of Martha Rutledge and the late Allen Lex Rutledge. She is the sister of William Rutledge and Brenda Whitmore.

I am not the most comfortable with my family history. By saying "not the most comfortable," I do not mean that I don't like my family. I just mean that I do not know a great deal about it. I am learning however. You can learn more to by looking at the Mitchell Family Geneaology.

I am more comfortable talking about some of my extended family members though. Most of the family that I have the most contact with seems to be on my mother's side of the family. This is probably due to the fact that they are the closest to my age and in closer proximity geographically than most of the members on my father's side of the family.

I have one cousin who I am good friends with and several others that I am close to as well. Travis Rutledge is the cousin with whom I am good friends. He is the son of the afore mentioned William Rutledge. Travis is a good individual to work with and to just hang out with. He can always think of a joke to help make the work seem less unbearable (sometimes difficult to do in a 105-115 degree weather). He also married a very nice young lady, Shannon. Both of them have been very kind and supportive to me. They have two children. One, Bryce, is hitting his teen years now. Jordan, the newest addition, is turning into a terror just like his old man and cousin was.
