"So, in Haifa we actually have sites that show vague relations between the Neanderthals and the Homo-sapien sapiens. Yes, do you have a question?"

"Uhm, yeah厃ou might not have any idea what I'm talking about here, but is The Clan of The Cave Bear a realistic interpretation of the relationship between the two, or of the time in general?"

"Well, let's see, I want to be judicial about this卼hose books are卌omplete junk.

"Point one) Ayla was described as blond and blue. Very nice, but Germans weren't around 20,000 BP. The people had just left Africa, and looked like it.

"2) There is nothing indicating the Neanderthals had psychic powers."

By this point, the class, of which maybe one had read the books, were laughing at the ideas. I didn't think the books were scientifically based卼here's a bit too much sex for that..

"3) Man was able to domesticate the horse around 4000 BC, not 20,000 BP.

"4) Man has never domesticated the lion.

"5) The brassiere was invented around 1900 CE, not 20,000 BP.

"And 6) There is nothing to indicate that it was Homo-sapien sapiens invented the missionary position."

"Wow, that was like the entire point of the third book."

"They're nice for fantasy, but that's about it."

Once again, books fail me.
