Here is another view of Robert's Arm.  This one however, was not in the vacation photos section.  This view shows the size of the ice which was beginning to break up into smaller chunks as it melted.  This part of Newfoundland is usually iced in for 3 to 4 months a year.  This year was particularly light due to the warm winter.  St. John's was ice free this year even though in the past the ice has come into and blocked the entire harbour.  <--Previous  Next-->  Index
