Since 1973, Young Nationals have held an (almost) annual policy conference, which for many members is the highlight of the political year. It is a combination of top-flight and varied guest speakers, vigorous policy debate, and even more vigorous social functions.
In 2000 the Young Nationals Policy Conference was held between March 23-26, in Wellington. Guests were invited to attend from like-minded parties in the Asia-Pacific Democrat Youth.
Registration closed on 15 March 2000. Early registration was necessary to ensure you do not miss out, as places were limited due to the seating capacity of function rooms. Cost was being kept to an absolute minimum. In 2000, the cost of Conference Registration was $65 excluding accommodation or travel to Wellington.
