Barbara Boxer is a great United States Senator from California. She has authored and sponsored some really good legislation: American Handgun Standards Act, Children's Environmental Protection Act, Superfund Ammendment, Safe Water Drinking Act Ammendment, Violence Against Women Act, Family and Medical Leave Act. She has an excellent record on education, health, health insurance, pension, women and children, racial, transportation, energy, environment, clean air, coastline protection, tobacco, family, human rights, gun and peace issues. For having a superb grasp of how to move all humanitarian and progressive issues forward toward a better future, Barbara Boxer has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
