FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 7-8-2006

Better

Warren Buffett is the fabulously rich person who committed to give away 85% of his fortune, mostly to theBill and Melinda Gates Foundation (Gates is the richest person in the world, Buffett is #2). Buffett chose the Gates Foundation because it is very successful in completing its needed missions. Buffett has an unpretentious and frugal lifestyle. He received the only A+ grade Benjamin Graham ever handed out to a student in his security analysis class at Columbia Business School. Buffett's huge donation made the Gates Foundation the biggest charitable organization in history. Unlike the current selfish trend, Buffett does not believe in transfer of great fortunes from one generation to the next. He believes the estate tax plays a critical role in making a successful growing society by increasing merit and decreasing the family-based greed which can damage overall prosperity. Buffett believes tax cuts should be sent to those in need, not to those in greed, to be spent directly in the economy. Are you listening, silly Bushies? For making it more likely that the human race will survive its self-created disasters, Warren Buffett has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more information.
