FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 4-22-2006

Ann Wright was in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for 26 years and was a State Department diplomat for 16 years. She resigned from the State Department in March 2003 as a protest of the coming invasion of Iraq. She knew from the git go that the Iraq war would be illegal and immoral. She now runs Camp Casey, the ongoing protest near the Bush ranch which is part of Field Operations for Peace, not War. She was arrested at a White House protest of the mass murder of Iraqis and Americans caused by the war. She was a volunteer in the Astrodome for Hurricane Katrina. She was also arrested at a die-in in front of the White House. She knows that it is honorable to protest the dishonorable criminal Bush administration. She knows it is much better to be a felon for peace than a criminal for war. She knows that Cheney/Bush policies on Iraq/Israel/Palestine/North Korea/U.S. civil liberties are causing much more harm than good. She knows that U.S. occupation increases violence in Iraq and that the way to decrease violence there is to bring the troops home.
