Eman Ahmed Khamas is a top-notch Iraqi human rights activist, journalist and translator. She is a member of Women's Will, an organization fighting for fairness and freedom for women, especially those unjustly imprisoned. She and other Iraqi women have been touring the USA promoting a Women's Call for Peace to end the occupation and other causes of violence in Iraq. She documents human rights violations in Iraq caused by USA/Iraqi forces. She also mobilizes emergency relief and publishes articles about Iraqi conditions. She knows that pro-war advocates have beens severely propagandized. She knows that most Iraqis are aware of the selfish motives of the occupation and of the atrocities that happend in Fallujah. She knows that the occupation has worsened the oppression of women and girls and has created widespread uglification. The occupation has also worsened Shiite-Sunny conflict. The 1991 Gulf War and the terrible sanctions after the war caused great harm to Iraq. Saddam did torture and bombings but now the Americans are doing torture and bombings even worse. For helping to bring truth to Americans and Iraqis about American sins in Iraq, Eman Ahmed Khamas has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more information.
