FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 10-8-2005

Bunnatine Greenhouse is (or was) the contracting director of the Army Corps of Engineers. She is supposed to ensure that the Corps share contracts with small businesses and ensure open competition for bids. Because the corrupt Bush administration would not let her do her job of preventing fraud, favoritism and cronyism, she blew the whistle on their criminal activities with respect to Halliburton, etc. Honesty in government has become a fantasy under the Bushies. For being a good, honest, decent person the Bushies are trying to demote her or force her into retirement. She is the real patriot of America unlike the crooked psuedopatriots Bush, Cheney, Rove, Delay and the rest of their DC chickenhawk mafia. It seem that the longest and hardest slog facing America and Americans is removing from office the current highest leadership of the USA and replacing it with decent, rational, competant, peaceful and environmentally protective persons who will create a climate of progress and survival.
