FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 9-24-2005

Congresswoman Gwen Moore of Wisconsin's 4th district was Student Council President in high school, a Community leader, a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and a Wisconsin State Senator. She has an excellent progressive record on jobs, community, welfare, education, criminal justice, women's rights, civil rights, racial profiling, domestic abuse, voting rights,public transit, the environment, affordable and dependable transportation, protection against domestic, dating, sexual assault and stalking violence, veterans, small business, foreign policy, science/technology, real democracy, political asylum, the arts, affordable housing, scholarships, affordable health care, families, economic recovery, social security, unemployment, youth services, job training, Medicaid, Medicare and on many other issues. She serves on the House Committee on Financial Services and on three of its Subcommittees and on the House Small Business Committee. She is the first African-American Congresswoman from Wisconsin.
