FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 8-20-2005

Ray McGovern is a former CIA analyst (27 years), co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity and he works for Tell the Word. He says that the 9/11 Commision Report and its following legislation should have included whistleblower protection for workers in the intelligence and security community. Despite the lack of protection, he is an outstanding example of the growing whistleblower community who, in sum, have revealed enough information that numerous members of the Washington, DC establishment should be impeached for their crimes, starting at the top. Ray McGovern says, "...the [Iraq] war could have been avoided...corruption of US intelligence analysis was so widespread...blatant, that...some courageous soul...would have come forward." Today sane and well informed people do know enough of the facts so that it is clear that many illegal acts were initiated and sanctioned at the highest levels of the US government. We, the people, need to take whatever nonviolent action is needed to correct the recent wrongs and make the world safe for real democracy.
